I haven't named my Vis yet but it might be what most of the H-D guys say when they first see a Vision: "What the f%ck is that?"

Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay!
I'm glad to hear that I am the only one calling mine ViVi. Maybe I can get that on my plate!! (I like the 36D, too! That was a more painless than I thought it would be!!) My last 9 numbers of my VIN are 983003824. I have a black ViVi Tour Premium. It's raining here now. I'll have to go out to the garage later and look for those dates stamped on the frame. I haven't notice any dents on my lids. I'll have to check that over, too....

Without more of your VIN, this is what I know from the three of us. The first "9" you listed appears to do with color, Black. At the moment the six digits from the end are for numbering the bikes. Until we get more people to list their Vins, won't know more.

The Poconos
From what I have been told by a reputable source.......

the 5VP is on all Victory bikes

the SD is the code for the Vision Tour

the 36 is the motor size

the D is a mystery

the next number is probably usless but may be the color...mine is a 1 and it is Midnight Cherry

the 8 is the year

and the rest are production sequence numbers

You're right.  How in the world could I leave the D out of 36D?

the D36, the D appears to be relating to Street or Tour. and the 1 doesn't appear to be for the color, yet.

Black Premium Tour

5VP SD 36 D 8 83 00 19xx

My bike is ink-stamped 2007.06.27 on the frame behind the right saddlebag (I have a photo from where Bushtec had it off to develop the trailer hitch) and has the raised numbers 5630211 Rev 02 0706?5 molded onto the frame there (can't read one of the digits in the photo).

The model number on my bill of sale and title is V08SD36DAT.

I'm guessing:

V=Vision

08=year

SD=Tour

36=106 c.i. engine size

DAT=Idonthaveaclue

It is a Tour Premium Super Steel Grey. BUT it is currently a street. Much nicer ride with out trunk. It will have it's uses but IMHO
rides much nicer without trunk..much more stable. I have been riding it for 3 months coming off a suzuki M50(500 lbs) and I guess long timers wouldnt care if trunk was on or off..

Pollo, I'm at 1700. That mileage is with the holidays off work. Not much riding due to the whole "family" time...Working 2nd shift this month, and Mrs Buckeye is itching to ride! Kids in school, we are riding.

Im jealous, only got 1150. Holidays are tough, another reason I was pissed about the late delivery. Finally got to do a nice ride sunday after Christmas. Long Beach and back. (150 mi.) Had a great time. Long Beach sure has changed, lots of nice places to eat, drink and hang out.

Had the seat off my Vision this weekend just to snoop around and found a lot of dates on various stuff. The sticker on the backbone up in front of the seat states mine was made in Nov. 2007 it has last four digits of 3994 on the S/N. Also, the wiring harnesses were dated anywhere from mid Aug. to Mid Sept. Frame was date stamped 9/12/07, side covers were dated 10/30/07 and the sticker on the bottom of the seat is dated 11/13/07. A sheet of paper in my manual bag dated the bike at 11/19/07, I think that's the exact date it was built., but it might have been shipped on that date. It arrived at the dealer on 11/23/07.

Bringing the conversation back to dents in the saddlebags. There may also be another dent on the bike, on the rightside exhaust at the rear tip over protection. I stopped by another dealer over the weekend and he came out to look at the bike and said "Yours has it too!" and he pointed out the ding in the chrome. I got back to my home dealer and went in and looked at the two bikes on the showroom floor and they have it as well. I told the dealer about that and they're working a warranty issue for it.

Thanks for mentioning it. Just went out to the garage and checked and it's on mine too, along with the saddlebag dents and what appears to be a bunch of small spots on the chrome heat shield coming off of the rear jug. Mine was delivered by the dealer right to my garage and it hasn't even been out yet...... Oh Great!.......

No chrome dent. Both bags have the dents. Its a shame cause both are aligned perfectly.

Nothing says you must replace those bags.

Mine has them, and the certainly are not aligned, but I'll keep them just they way they are.

Im not in any hurry to replace them just curious to see what Victory will do about it. Same with the trunk light, easy fix but what is the companys solution. Still the best bike Ive ever ridden. Wouldnt give it up for anything. I am at peace with the world on this bike.

??? What is up with the trunk light? Mine is fine, execpt when I short out the powerlet
input with a voltage meter to verify the center is positive. Oh, and that also
shorts out the windshield fuse, so you have to take the windshield apart if it was in the
lowest position (it was).
