I ride an 05 Victory Hammer and I was at a local biker bar and grill that was mostly HD's and was challenged by a Harley rider to a race. I don't particularly like to race on the streets, or race at all for that matter, but his HD buddies just kept ribbing him to call me out. I sofltly declined his offer to a race against his hopped up HD and he called me a chicken and that Victory motorcycles are HD wannabes. My buddy, who rides a Vegas, convinced me to take this guy on cause the Harley crowd around the other guy were laughing and making fun of our bikes. Enough was enough so I walked over to him and said...''are you ready big mouth.'' To make a long story short, my Hammer took him bad.....really bad...enough that he did not go back to the bar because of embarrasment and could not face his supporting buddies. One of his friends, who tagged along, told the others that my Hammer crushed the Harley like a sledgehammer.......hence the name.

Ride safe.

As we get older our bodies tend to slow just a bit and our reflexes are not what they once were. I took great pride on being "strong as a bear" and "quick like a cat" at an earlier time in my life. That time has now passed but I can still throw a leg over the saddle of my new MCPT and it takes me back to that time!!!! Life does in fact get better with age.

My last name is Byrd. Everyone called me Byrdman in high school so I guess it stuck.

I've been 6"7" since I was fifteen, have had that name since then. Still wonder why they call me that.

Mudge, hang in there brother. I'm a very "crotchety" young geezer. I also, loaned my dealer 1k since aug. however, my loan enforcement agent (wife) decided I should see if a different, more appreciative dealer, who might take on the no interest loan. Since my original pre-order had been on a so called "hiatus" since Sept 14. (suspect sunning itself in the bahama's or something) I choose a different dealer to cinch a deal. 180 miles away, a dealer had the bike i wanted, and to my delight was willing to release a midnight cherry premium to me. I immediatley informed the o% interest loan dealer, i prefer my loan returned and will seek my Vision else where. And that's that. My preorder is on a truck somewhere (For the 5th time) , and i could give a hoot, because i've been in the wind for a week. And dollars to dog-nuts, that pre order still hasn't made it to it's destination....Since my dilema was about 4 months long, I put a help call out on this site, and had contact with my "new" dealer within 2 hours, and on MY new bike within 2 days. Give it a try! I almost went on a killing spree!!

HUAH! I just love Marine and Army Call outs, just plain old grunts of Manism's. If there is anybody on here that can relate to being crotchety, he said young, geezer, who has had mass hysteria, Def Leppard album, then it would be Buckeye, sheep lovin, who has it pegged on waiting for a Vision. I hope ya'll asked for some interest on that loan or at least a good rub for the money.

Most people think I am a nascar fan. not true. Mine came from a joke a friend of mine had growing up. Back as a kid we drove Honda Spree mopeds and we would line up at a stop sign and laughing say likerace. We've come a long ways from moped.

I own an apolusa horse, she's 34 years old. We competed on many levels and my competitors would comment that riding her was like riding in an ez-chair. Thus I hope riding the Vision is the same experiance.

Came up with mine when I started to ride again a couple of years ago. Being from Virginia and like to ride, it just seem to fit. I really didn't start using it until I got on the VMC site. I still like to use my old CB handle from the early days of having a base station while in high school, Ramblin' Rebel, or Double R for short.

I've adopted Georgia as my home,as long as it will have me (born in NYC, raised in central VA), I'm female, and my nickname came from a cat I had when I first got on the internet (who I had to put to sleep earlier this year, at 18 years old). If I were a cat, I would have been her, if she were a human, she would have been me. Pet me, stroke me, give me dairy goodies.... Most of the time I will purr and blink appreciatively. But occasionally, I just want to be left alone, and will hiss and swat at you...

Is that a woman above who has signed in here. I thought most women liked darkly colored cacoa, mixed with milk, sugar, etc. Is there a prize for being the first woman logged in. Well, it appears we are getting quite a few diverse folks from around North America to hang out here.

GAgirlTrixie - we have not had any "female" reviews for the bike and how it compares to the other ones you own. Do tell? Post pics if you like? Don't forget a large number of "male" personas have been let loose on this site, just forewarning.

I know this subject has been quite for a while, but I found it interesting and several people have joined since the last post, including me! I first started using Big Vic as a personalized plate for my bike in 2003 when I diomond cut my heads and installed a 100" big bore kit in my V92C. I did the same thing to my 05 TC, and now I have a 106" Vision. I'm also 6'8" 290lbs. and a huge Victory fan. The Vision marks my 5th Victory purchase with another one coming up next year. My wife rides a 04 Kingpin and goes by VICHIC which means Vic Chick not Vic Hic.

Because so many people say I resemble the character from the movie (sans the stupid looking expression and the high water pants!) so i just decided to "roll" with it.
