What bugs me most about the loss of Bill "VisionTex" days before his retirement......it is like a friend and a great teacher died.

I learned more about riding and my Vision following him into and out of turns that day. It was like flying with an instructor pilot. His entry and exit points, lean angle and throttle control were all perfect. Watching Bill ride was like watching a Olympic downhill skier on his gold metal run.

I was looking forward to more rides with him that now will never happen. It is just a shame.

Wolff - Not amazing, just cheap. I limited myself to 16 days total for this trip. I had to get back to work and every day on the road is another motel.

16 days on the road is expensive and to do it in 16 days I had to average 700 miles a day. I knew I would not be able to average 700 miles a day on the Alaska Highway and the Dalton Highway so I had to pick up the pace early in the trip. My average was 701 miles per day for the 16 day ride.
700 miles a day for 16 days will wear you out even on a Vision.

After just doing the Dalton in 4 days (up/back-13 total riding days) on a BMW 800 GS in great weather, I am trully amazed at your feats of endurance riding- I love to ride, but have no "vision" of ever doing that on a Vision in the rain !!

San Antonio, TX United States		Steve is a man after my own heart. Thats the kind of riding i like doing. Usually at least once a month i will have a 800 to 1000 mile continuous run. Just a week ago i left Denver at 2am and rode straight through to Clinton, WI. Had a great time as usual on the vision.
