I bought this years ago. I unpacked it from the box and loaded it with camping gear.

It rests on the passenger seat and straps to the passenger hand holds.

It held all of the camping items .

I was unimpressed with the mounting it will not fall off but it moves about.

If I had the luggage rack it could have attached the top to it.

The pack is large at the waist it was not an issue but it pushed my shoulders forward I endured this for three days to Sturgis but stopped in La Crosse Wi to mail it and it's contents home on the return trip.

I will never use this bag again.

I will install the luggage rack

I've used mine once for a long trip. I secured mine with one of the supplied straps. I removed the middle backrest and ran the strap behind the backrest/between the two backrest screws. Tucked the straps clips between the backrest seams when bag was removed. I used my bed pillow as a backrest against the bag while riding. It hauled all my stuff, did'nt scratch my chrome grab rails, and provided a comfy backrest support all through the trip.

I use my too with no problems. I do the grocery shopping for a household of three. I use the pack and have no problems getting all my groceries in my bike. I bought it for my solo trips. I can probably pack enough for a month long trip with no problems!

Love mine!! I do add a strap at the top which secures under the trunk lid. This probably helps with the forward tipping issue.

The placement of the Saddleman emblem can be a literal pain in the back, so I have a gel camp pillow insert that slips into the ties on the front of the bag. If someone figures out a way to add wheels and a collapsible handle I'd love to learn how.

I bought the Victory Badged version and haven't as yet used it on a trip.
I did have it on while driving home from purchasing it at my dealership and found it to be fairly good as a backrest.
I was going to use it mainly to store my helmets, rain gear, extra water and allow a little room for souvenirs.

What concerns me the most is mounting and dismounting the Vision with my bad leg as the bag is pretty tall.

I bought the Saddleman BR4100 several years ago and have used it on several long (3-4 week) rides. I tried to use the supplied straps and found that they were unsatisfactory so I use 12" velcro cable straps and secure them to the rear passenger hand holds and haven't had a problem with the bag shifting.

The Saddleman emblem was definitely a killer so somewhere in north central Florida I pulled into a rest stop and pried it off with my multi-tool and deposited it in the adjacent swamp.

The bag does sit to far forward and makes for an unnatural riding position so I am going to try 'Nailer's' suggestion and remove the middle back rest on my next trip.

The bag is by no means water resistant so I place all of the inner contents in a trash bag...then slide a industrial strength trash bag inverted over the top of the Saddleman and wrap it with a bungee.

Having found the quirks of the bag; I am pleased with my Saddleman.

I have had a Nelson-Rigg for many years and been very happy with it. Have not tried it yet on the Vision, but know it is well-made.

Here is my solution to more storage.

From T-Bags.com.  It is a Close out front ATV bag... $35.00

It is VERY secure to my hand holds via 3 straps per side.  -Jeff

I'd like to see your's rigged Twolf. I've put many miles using the 4100 and find it to be more than suitable for the Vision. I naturally lean forward some when I ride and have to lean back into the bag on purpose, but find it a very comfortable riding position. I use all straps with the bag and then use a stretch bungee hold the top back to the top trunk rack.

I have the BR4100 and it worked perfectly. Of note, I did need to remove my Utopia backrest as there was not enough room for them both to sit comfortably. Also, the little netting in the front I found is best just left empty. I tried to stuff some padding in there and it pushed me too far forward.

I have the passenger backrest and luggage rack (no tourpack) and it worked perfectly. It carries more than you will ever need and sits perfectly on teh rear seat. If the wife comes along then I will either put it on teh luggage rack or go with 2 duffel bags on the luggage rack.

Arm length. My back does not touch my 4100. My arms are too short to make it happen. I have used my bag twice and found it quite nice.

TO those who provided model numbers and info about what you liked and what you hated, THANKS! To everyone else, please, if you don't like an aftermarket accessory, give us a company AND model number (Saddleman makes a lot of schitz), and tell us what you didn't like. If you liked the product, please tell us why and give us a company AND model number, and perhaps a link or a pic. Anything less just leaves everyone else in the dark. Again, THANKS to those who gave us enough info (model number, likes and dislikes, pics, links, etc.)

Absolutely correct -

Saddleman BR4100
Like: capacity - provides great back support - workmanship - insulated exterior compartments for drinks - straps on top to secure tent and sleeping pad - appears to be exactly the same as Victory tour bag at 1/2 price.

Dislikes: placement of emblem - not waterproof (no issues when covered with large plastic bag) - holds so much gear it can be heavy to carry (wheels and handle would be nice) - no room for an even more comfortable backrest with significant other in back seat.

Same: but I don't have an emblem. Would like to add that the camebak hydration can fit nicely up on top and the tube reaches over the shoulder with no problems.

My set up on BR4100:

OEM straps positioned to very front of grab rails. Perhaps this set up prevents pulling the bottom of the bag back so far that it forces the top to lean forward.

Strap through trunk with hooks that come out over the speaker covers for bungee to attach to top of bag.

As far as waterproofing goes, your local hardware store will happily sell you a can of 3M waterproofing.
I use on on my boots and any luggage.
It works.

I have the BR4100 and the lower D ring pulled out the first time I went to use it. I used a cargo net so I could go to the AVR. Not happy with the ring pulling out the first time I used the bag. I didn't even tighten the strap. I just connected the clip and started to pull when it came out.

To keep it from falling forward on me, I put the back strap around the frame piece that holds the seat. I looped the strap through the frame and let it hang out after I put the seat back on and then it can be attached to the bag and will keep it from going forward and holds it tight against the tour pack. Just got back from a 4000 mile trip to Yellowstone with mine. Held everything I could ever need.
