Hmmmm, I'm off on Tuesday/Wednesday and it's 2 1/2 hours away.  I'll call my dealer tomorrow and see if I can crash the party.

The Victory Marketing Department should let you in just for your ability to sum up Victory Ownership in a single phrase with a photo. Your posters have been spot on....and continue to be a fine addition to this site.

A peek...
Notice that the CR Classic comes with white stiched seat, paint similar to the Highball, and lace wheels.
The Vision sports a new 2 tone bronze paint.
The Ness stylings for the Vision and CrossCountry are pretty wild.

Fate of the Vision. Well, with two years running with the emphasis on the Cross Country, and now the Cross Country Tour, with even Victory saying it is the best in its class, more storage and more weather protection puts the handwritting on the wall. Not trying to sound negative, just seeing things as it is, the Vision will go down as the bike ahead of it's time. Give it just another year or so, that I really don't want it to be so, seriously.

Don't see the Vision 8-Ball either.

Say it aint so, Joe...

41 gal of storage to our 29? That's impressive. But no power windshield. And I'm just not a 'bat wing' fan.

Hmm alot to choose from now. I'm sure Victory marketing pushed for this to happen. I'm sure they listen to alot of folks and pulled all the data on what most folks wanted so here it is. I like many others was hoping for a new vision but not this year and who know the fate of the vision from this year on. I really like the ness vision, just wish it came with the creature comforts as the rest of them.

I'm watching this, and I feel Victory is rock solid on the approach to motorcycles. They are not a kid any more and the Vision helped them get noticed. I've talked to reps close to the mothership and others who have had an edge on the inside and they all consistantly say the same thing - The Vision is what it is, don't expect any changes. Polaris put a whole lot into the Vision, banking on Victory to market it. From my opinion, and mine alone, the Vision is way ahead of it's time. MOST buyers that would fit the mold, income, age bracket, desires, wants to stay with the retro look. Something they've ALWAYS wanted in a bike. That is what keeps the Indian coming back also, most folks want the "good old days" in a motorcycle and the Vision is not from the good old days. I think that is why the focus has shifted in the past two years on the Cross Country and they are making headway with that and they have made it the Victory Flagship - top dollar bike and moved the Vision down a notch.

Sorry, I love the Vision more than any of you and have wished it the utmost sucess that it is very well capable of. But the test has brought it to the few who live and die by the Vision, but there will not be enough to keep 'er alive on the line. For those who never came over and drank the Vision Kool-aide, you got what you want with the Cross Country Tour, now go play.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the new website. If it does go, it will keep the uniqueness for the riders ahead of our time!!!

I really really like the Vision, but I think they hit it out of the park (yet again) with the XC Tour.

Well at least they are proving the Harley riders right. The XC's look like Harleys.

I want to finish on a positive note tonight, they have some nice color schemes this year with the Vision, I really like the Blue and would roll with one if my '08 wasn't running so well. Also, it sounds like they've moved it lower also, I don't know if that is suspension, seat or both, I'll have to look into it more. I hope to test ride one soon and see what I will be getting in a few years. With the lower price, maybe they'll move some more, but then they'd be every where. But there will never be another Vision like the Classic Vision.

The TOUR is disappointing to me, it says 'Hey! Me TOO!' someone @ POLARIS Design Dept. spent too many Winter nights looking @ H-D ULTRAS or later model VENTURES,
'and we could use their lower side cubbies, and the fairing could attach right to the front fork.. and' You could get very wet in a sudden storm(or getting stuck behind a logging truck on wet roads) with that huge venturi between the tops of your knees and the middle of your rib cage. I don't care for the fairing/windshield being attached to the forks, obviously whoever thought that up never got caught in a 45 degree crosswind and had to learn how to sail on pavement to fight the windshield, usually for a couple of very tiring hours, or get 'gusted' by a huge semis wake. The fixed windshield is another 'points off', I'll just keep SYNSTR until I'm too old and feeble to hold her up @ a light thank you-If the designers were trying to make the bike more H-D friendly and less noticeable, why didn't they just buy and re-badge H-D's or name the series the 'ME TOOS"?
Disappointing to say the least.

YAH-HOO ! I have said this a dozen times on this forum in the past 3+ years. STOP making the Vision !!!!

Because - I own the most beautiful bike EVER made - and I don't want to be just "one of the millions" who own one. I want to be "one of the fortunate few".

AND - I love it when some of you 'customize' your Vision - because it makes my STOCK Vision look better. Keep it up !!!!

New Vision $2,200 cheaper than last year.
Only thing I can find different is the lack of front chrome tip-overs and maybe the elimination of the HID headlight.

If these "core" based bikes are all the same under the skin, why is it that the XC tour has a 54 lb lower GVWR (1360 lb vs 1414 lb) than the Vision?

The XC Tour also starts off 45 lbs heavier; which translates to an 100 lb carrying capacity deficit for the XC Tour despite the fact that it has larger saddlebags , which sort of defeats the purpose of the larger bags if you ask me.

I also have to agree with Synstr , I cant imagine ever going back to a handle bar mounted fairing or living without an adjustable electric windshield.

I don't really care if the Vision loses the most expensive slot in the Vic lineup; if my ego was tied up in the price tag then there have always been dozens of more expensive options. If you want to spend more money for less bike, who am I to argue with your choice?
