Thought I'd post a few pics of what a black bike looks like with tinted front lenses and with clear lenses. I'm sure many are torn as to which way to go (me too). The tinted makes the bike look a whole lot smaller, more like a sport bike. The clear give a much grander feel, makes the bike more visible.

The clear are from Volusia Motorsports (386) 428-2212 for $166 +shipping. Check out the 'Clear Lenses' thread.

The tinted are from Heavy Metal Designz, HMD520.com for $139 plus amber lens exchange and shipping. He gives a %10 discount for VR members although my order got messed up and I never got it.

I'm tending towards the clear and may be selling the tinted ones.

I wounder if some one can tint in a gray or red or blue? All I think they do is use a base color witch is transparent to give you the look.

Both look better than amber. I'm concerned that the blacked out lenses may not be as visible as the clear.

I love the clear and this is the direction I went. The black would look awesome with EVERYTHING blacked out, but that's a lot of money and effort to eliminate all chrome and color. Just my 2 cents

Ditto. The Ness has so much chrome already, tinted lenses looked out of place. If I didn't have the chrome and the bright side graphics, tinted would look much better. I wonder how my bike would look with clear lenses and a chrome front access panel?

The tinted lenses remove ALL reflective properties. The only light a car will see is the headlight/driving lights. I had tinted rear lights also, but returned them for this reason.

I like the clear. what kind of bulbs are you useing to get rid of that orange ball look inside them? I'm adding the clear myself to my black 08 vision in two weeks so I want to change the bulbs so they dont have that orange bulb looks inside them. Any help on brand name of buld or titem number and where to get them would be awesome guys.

I used the stock clear bulbs that came in the amber lenses.
California Vehicle Code 24953 states (a) Any turn signal system used to give a signal of intention to turn right or left shall project a flashing white or amber light visible to the front and a flashing red or amber light visible to the rear.
I saw no reason to put ambers bulbs in. Check your vehicle code, I bet it's the same. Just because they come with the amber bulbs, doesn't mean it's the law that they have to be amber.

Is that a tinted windshield? I have a blacked out Vision and plan on getting the tinted lenses. If that is a tinted wind screen, where and how much please. Thanks

Price varies on size and tint.
One thing I don't like about it, they didn't use the same pattern as the stock one and it doesn't seat as nicely
It always looks like the windscreen is in the up position, and when up, it looks worse. I just got it from the classifieds and I may sell it. I do like the dark look though. If 7jurock ( http://www.7jurock.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=287 ) would make you a dark tinted one, I would go with them.

I like the clear. We've got all the front and panel chrome so it would add more shine to the bike.

For all interested, I'm sticking with the clear lenses in the front and red(non-tinted) in the back. Although the tinted looks 'cool', it became a safety issue to me. The tint blocks all reflective qualities of the lenses and makes the bike harder to see at night (downright invisible when the lights are off). The clear got rid of the 'orange wing' look that I didn't care for while still giving a 'Grand' feeling to the bike. With white LEDs that blink amber only when turning, it really make the bike look impressive.
I am not impressed with the CeeBailey's windshield and will be putting it up for sale or trade for a 7jurock.

i went dark tint 2" lower than stock from cee baileys i love it. in the lowest position it throws the air over my helmet at highway speeds. all the way up it takes care of my passenger when I have one. i look over it when i am by myself and riding the twisties. at night it doesnt bothermy vision at all

wow the NON-tinted one is alot bright in the photos (safety) at the same time i think the clear lens are useless. and here is my thoughts on that. they are ONLY clear when they are not being used. which mean while you ride no one can Really tell you even have clear lens. Its only when your Not riding that you can show someone you have clear lens. Im also Not a fan of being able to see your bulbs through a lens.

The clear give off a white light while on with clear bulbs. I do not have ANY amber on the front. Amber is only required for European bikes. I have been considering, for better visibilty, a white LED that blinks amber only when the signals are on, but right now, it is always white.
