Who has run their Vision on a 1/4 mile track. Time? Top Speed? W/Mods, Cam, etc? Just curious, not a question I normally ask.

Chris, shoot your ? to lobsterhunter over on theVMC. He's probably ridden his "rocket" Vision as fast as anyone I know of (he's ridden WAY faster than I would ever dream of).
His Vision was the "guinea pig" for all of Lloyd's goodies - cams,rev-limiter override, etc.

When I talked to folks that watched LobsterHunter run at Daytona in 2009, he supposedly ran 12.20 without the trunk.

Great times, I thought 11.'s could be squeezed out, but 12.'s is quite impressive.

His best run was in the 12.50's. To date Carls 12.42 is the fastest I know of, and he was at the track every week.

Varyder, Remember we are talking about an 800 pound bike, and that would require 130+ Hp and a very good rider to push an 11 out.

Kevin, yeah I know, I just thought 11 was achievable without busting a belt, 12's alone are very impressive. The thought popped in my mind when a friend at work was talking about his '08 Mustang which is turning low 14's in the 1/4 and he was trying to get 13's out of it, which he may do, street legal by the way. My mind toyed with an idea, but I left it alone not knowing what a Vision could do with cam's let alone stock. Thanks for the feedback.

BTW can you more of the Vic's if you short shift to 2nd?

My bike weighed 1068lbs on the scale with me on it after that pass. I have lost 45lbs since (down around 195ish now) but never got to run it again before I sold it. The 45 lbs knocked almost 2 tenths off the 06 vegas so that would put the vision in the 12.20's and the rev extened would prob get close to the 11.99 mark?? wishful thinking...

So I guess a race for the pinks with this mustang with my 220lb butt and a stock '08 tour and having 80,000 on the clock and a belt that has 40,000 on it would not be a smart thing to do? Would anyone disagree?

Chris, do what you want, but I won't race anyone/anywhere for the pink slip of my Vis. I worked too hard to get the $ to walk into my dealer and hand them a check for the WHOLE TOTAL $23,1xx.xx (don't remember exact amount - I have CRS. LOL)

Chris, would be great to meet you in person and perhaps ride some on our "not so straight" roads (they're still pretty flat though).

The pinks thing is up to you, but my dad(about 200lbs) ran his tour with s1l1 and nothing else it ran 13.68 I believe. I prob could knocked a .1 or.2 off but that about it.

..ahh, the dude keeps talking about his track time and how he'll improve next time and so on. He's got it built pretty good and got some $$$ in it as a hobby. I got to wonder what the Vision would/could do, never really thought about any pinks, just messin' around her. I could probably run him up, but I doubt I'd would pull away from him. I'd break a belt right now from the hole shot any ways. Or since I use Amsoil I'd slip my clutch too much and he'd be down the track before I hit 3rd....

Thanks for all the input...

Not dogging his car but a 13-14 Sec mustang is not a very fast car. Factory 2011's run high 12's. I think someone might be sand bagging on what they got or they aint got much.

I wouldn't do it, Chris. You don't have the 100,000 mile transmission.

I got it cleared up today, he says it is 13's "stock", and 11.44 blown.

I'll be turning "80" by the weekend. I think I'll celebrate by changing the oil, perhaps roteller 5w something, or another...
