Has anyone ever experienced any wobbling from the front end of bike when taking off from a dead stop and turning hard to the right or left? For example, lets say you did some slow figure eights in a parking lot you would feel a wobble in the handlebars from the slow speed.. I was wondering if this was normal because as soon as you pick up a little speed it seems to go away and at normal speeds or high speeds its never present.. thanks for comments or opinions in advance!

Interesting that you posted this, as I too have noticed the same thing! I was going to ask the same question of the board...
Hopefully, one of the guys will have the answer for us!

...the only other thing I could think of is the bushing for the rear shock. my not make sense but I believe if this bushing is worn it could make the front feel loose.

Thanks for tips on areas to check....

Tire pressure is good...never checked any of the other things on your list. Just to let you know even though its a 2009 I bought it new may 26, 2010. It only has approx 3200 miles on it..

I actually don't know if this is a problem or a normal occurrence on the Vision since this is the first bike I'd ever had with a fairing and being this big..

Just out of curiosity, I'd like ask others to try slow figure eights in a parking lot just for sh$t and grins to see if you get this low speed wobble feeling in the handle bars...Please

I'm not actually familiar with what you are describing, and I do a lot of slow, parking lot riding. The only thing that might be close to what you are describing is recently I had to replace my steering bearings. Also, I believe the bushing is worn on mine as I feel and occassional "shift". The thing of the vision, it is solid framed through the motor so a wobble would indicate something is out of whack.

I recall at least one person said they had to have the bushing replaced at new, so that might have some merit.

Yes I know exactly of what you speak! My bike feels the same way in the front end. Only to get worse with tire wear, to the point of being nearly out of control when coming to a stop. Standard bullshit answer = never heard of that one!! well new tires are on, problem is not nearly as exaggerated but still there below the surface. nearest dealer 2 hrs. need to make time again. hope to get some answers soon. 09 premium

2008 with 37,500 miles and never anything like this at all. And I do some parking lot practice every so often.

A couple of months old? Take it back to the dealership! If you could post your findings for those that are out of warranty, it would be appreciated.

What I see sometimes is a handle bar wiggle. I can cure the wiggle when riding slow, by dragging the back brake and keep more throttle on so the bike is pulling through the turn or figure eight.

double check your steering bearing torque, it is a 30,000 mile service if I remember correctly, or it may be a 15,000, but either way, I think someone had a problem in the early days of owner ship. If not torque correctly, and in the proper manner can cause problems like you're describing. Changing out the race is a bear, big bear, so a little TLC now will save you heartache later, don't axe me how I know....

I have never felt any wobble on my 2008 Vision and I do parking lot maneuvers nearly everyday when I get to work and the parking lot is empty.

I have felt the wobble before too. However after my PC V with autotune installed I don't notice the wobble at all. I think it has something to do with the throttle response. Since the PC V install my throttle response is the first thing I noticed as an improvement in. My bike stock had a very jerky throttle response.

My bike was just serviced too and the dealer did not service anything or find reason to service anything to donwith the steering.

wow, thank you everyone for all the good responses.. I can relate to you Visiontex about the handle bar wiggle maybe thats what I'm experiencing. At any rate I'll be speaking with my dealers service manager soon just and take Varyder's advice and see if they can't check the torque on the steering bearing...

I'll keep everyone posted on the outcome...hopefully soon...Thanks again guys!!
