so here is the question of the day, it appears that most are using the dunlop elite 3's over the Avon Cobras, mostly for the higher load rating.   What PSI are you running your tires

Dunlops - 38 F / 42 R (riding 2 up 80% of time . . . interesting observation though . . . I have Doran TPS installed. I have always known that PSI increases when tires heat up, but mine are getting to 46 F / 52 R. Is there a maximum PSI that becomes dangerous?

Interesting side note....I check / adjust tire pressure weekly at the very least, usually twice a week. My front tire started cupping at 3600 miles & got to where it felt like I was riding a snake. I've also noticed rear tire has a "heel/toe" wear pattern to it. My H-D buddy says Dunlop is having issues with tires on their bikes as well...he's had a set replaced already. Anybody else had issues? BTW, my suspension is set to Vic spec, riding 2-up most of the time.

Tony, I think your front pressure is too low.  I'm getting over 20,000 on my fronts easily.  I run 42/42 just to give me a 2psi fudge into the 40's.  (Just about to put my second replacement on at 42K and it's not at the wear bar yet.)  The E3's are by far the most sensitive to air pressure I have ever been on.  Keep them over 40 and the bike feels like it is on rails.  39 and below and it is a whole different animal.  Great tires when properly inflated.

Dunlop E3s 40/42 mostly two up.

SongFan is right about the pressure. Under 40 and the bike no longer feels like the Vision I bought. I check it before every long ride, and every other ride for short hops. Guess I'm a little OCD when it comes to the tire pressure.

Is anybody using the air suspension pump to check/add tire air ?

I have the Victory/Fox hand pump to check the rear suspension. I like the dial- seems very accuratre. wonder how much effort it is to ad a little air to the tires as needed.

The flexible hose makes it easy to check pressures.
