Thinking of installing this on my new Vision Tour 2010 , to use the trunk lights for braking and turn signal...for added safety.

This module makes the single filament or single circuit turn signals on the rear of your bike function as running lights, turn signals, & brake lights.

Has anybody tried this model....is it any good..
Any issues with the wiring of a trailer!!! Any input would be great.. ;o)

just installed this on my 2008 works great, there is a install pdf on this site that is real good. you have to take your trunk apart to ad some wiring because the trunk lights are in series. other than that it is simple.

What exactly does it do?

The two trunk light of a vision tour are a single filement light..They do not blink when you do a right or left turn with your turn signal switch and they do not lightup brither when you apply your brakes nor do they blink when using emergency light.

This module will get the trunk lights do all of this...even they will make your truck lights blink 3 times before coming on solid when braking...

Since these light are sitting higher in the back of the bike, it could save you from getting into an accident..

Just do a search on (Kuryakin 4710 Run-Brake-Turn Controller)...

Put it on my 09. It seems to work great! Did it on a rainy afternoon. My riding buddies say it makes a big difference. Only took a couple of hours, but that included numerous breaks for beer...

I installed one similar on my V-star and it worked very well. It was generic interface one so I had to pin everything out but after that it was smooth sailing. I've been very please with Kuryakyn in general.

I've had mine installed for a year now. Absolutely no problem with burning out the bulbs. Really makes the back of the bike more visible, especially in heavy traffic.

For those who haven't done this mod it is WELL WORTH the 3 hours to do....However, a NOTE for '09 bikes:

While doing the mod based on Firehawks GREAT pdf file. I found one hiccup (I guess only for the '09 models) when splicing the green/pink wire UNDER the seat DO NOT CUT THE WIRE use a tap splice and just use it to feed power to the 4710 module. Then trace the wire bundle up to an area right before it goes up into the tour pack and find the green/pink wire, here is where you CUT IT and place a scotch lock (spade connector) on the wire going UP TO THE TOUR PACK and tape the wire going back towards the main wire harness so it won't short to anything.

Other than that this is a GREAT mod and should make the rear of the motorcycle seen more readily when braking, turning or using the hazard lights.

Back to the 4710 brake controller. I want to install the controller on my 08 Vision then I called Kuryakin tech support (8:40 am 10-31-09 Tucson time) They said" don't even try it"
So here's my confusion. Several of you have installed them and they work fine. But the manufacturer says NO. What's up?

The why question was asked. Not a warrenty issue. They told me it was because the light are controlled by varing the voltage to the light. This creats a problem. I don't understand it.

If I understand "varing the voltage" means to change from a lower voltage to a higher voltage (3 volt to 12 volts or so) On off would be
0 voltage to say 12 volts. Again there must be something in the controller that's not compatable with Victory's system according to Kuryakin. They didn't explain beyond what I've said here. Courious?

I do not get it too.!!

To me the 12V is supply to the Kuryakin control box, That control box will control the voltage to the single filement lights..Wish i could take a look at the schematics and wiring plan..
Anybody got them!!

I was hoping to install this on my new vision , now i am not sure..
