Bought a S1L2 kit ( brand new in box ) including front airfilter and slip on mufflers off EBay. Got the whole kit for $310.00. Said they fit Visions 2008-2010. Well I'm here to tell ya they slipped right on my 2013 with no modifications. Sound pretty good, not nearly as booming as the CFR's on my 2008 but they are nice. I wanted a little quiter for my long distance bike which the 2013 will be.................

I put a set on my 2013 too. I did have a little trouble getting the rear bolt in. A dremmel took care of that pretty quick.

Don't want to hijack this thread but what is the difference between S1L2?

The stage 2 pipes are one piece slip on. They look awesome. No chrome cover held on with a hose clamp. I believe they are louder than Stage 1. I bought mine used with the Atom Bomb mod. Still not as loud as the Honkers I had, but they sound great.

Tom --- S1L2 = Stage 1 Level 2. There aren't many around so most of what you see is the S1L1 (Stage 1 Level 1 or just Stage 1). I guess it would be better to say most of what you "hear" is S1L1 since the Stage 1 mufflers just replace the stockers, utilizing the OEM (chrome) heat shields (like cw111115 said).

First vid is a comparison between a stock exhaust and the S1L1. Second vid is S1L2 exhaust.

Yep the second video is just what it sounds like. Better when the engine is pulling down the road with a load on it............

You will find that after around 5000 miles they get seasoned with soot and sound even better. I've got over 20k on mine and they sound great. Long rides don't leave your ears ringing and you can hear the radio.

Exactly, that's why I tried them. The CFR's on my 2008 are just a tad bit loud on the freeway at 80 mph hour after hour..............Think I'll like these.

Thanks Monkeyman et all! I wanted to go with the S1L2s but had to settle on what the dealer could get. I could have shopped around but I am still very pleased with the L1S1 exhaust note especially when you open it up (within break in limits). I have many years ahead with the Eagle and there will be plenty of time and hope $ to improve upon an already great motorcycle!

I bought my S1L2's new off Ebay for $300 and put 'em on myself too. In your kit you should also have a card with a bar code on it. If you want to have the S1 map flashed you'll need it. I had a dealer flash mine for $65 and it did make a difference.

That's what I'm thinking Street Eagle, I'm getting a Vision sometime soon and thinking about adding the S1 system. If the system doesn't quite sound the way I'd like it too, then I'll probably upgrade later to something like the S1L2 pipes.

I have the s1l2 pipes too, they started sounding good at about 8k miles. I can't imagine changing them unless Rinehart comes out with Vision pipes.

There's a couple sets on Ebay this morning. One starts at $295 bidding a couple others want $625 and $699 BUY it now prices. Wide range. I say the $600 plus prices are crazy, they'll sit there for months and not sell..............

Uuugh... hate this thread... so frikken influencing. Just ordered S1L2's w/performance air filter from Ebay... ($400.00)

...I had drilled out my stockers recently but I do like the S1L2 sound better. And I like the idea of a solid, one piece chromed muffler

Ya, I'd rather have gotten it even cheaper... but $400 isn't real bad... should have them between May 1st and May 7th.

What is the difference in the fuel mileage after you go to these upgrades. I would love to have the sound but I don't want to give up much fuel mileage.

None if you just switch pipes. But it will go down if you replace the airfilter with a freeer flowing one and add a fuel controller.............

ByteN2it... I've heard that the 2nd (TOP) air filter creates a very loud 'sucking' sound. Is that true in your experience?

There's some increased intake/valve train noise only when you excellerate. I certainly would not call it "very Loud" at all. I don't even notice it anymore.

It's a sound like the old cowl induction cars made and it's only at idle. Personally I like the sound.
