Victory now has a new tank Logo featured on thier website.In the Video they are show thier various models .but not one Vision.. was shown..kind of weak..makes the Vision look like a shop project Vs a model thats evolving..... I'm glad I have an "old" logo" Street model..Super Steel Grey.

Um, the paint changes? There are already pics of the 13 Vision on the VMC. No changes, except the tank badges.

I heard Visions outsell Cross bikes 2-1, and overall Victory had a 48% increase in sales last year! I really REALLY want to believe those numbers...

I think the sales dropped after the ABS went on. They ought not to mess with perfection. It's hard to guess anything in this market. I've always said it didn't matter to me if the 2008 was the only year they did the Vision, it is still our secret. I talked to a guy yesterday about buying a bike and all he wanted was a Harley. When I talked to him about the comfort, power and agility of a Victory over a Harley, all he wanted to talk about was the looks. I changed the subject and moved on. Talk about brainwashed...

i thought ABS has to be standard by 2014 by federal law? or am I wrong with that info? i thought i heard about this years ago and Victory wanted to be one of the first to already meet the New requirements.

My dealer wont even stock a Vision anymore.. (Special order only) because he said they sit on his show room for months... Where as his cross bikes are gone within 1-2 weeks... I got a serious deal on my 2011 vision because they wanted it off their floor....

Well, time for my .02! I think they came out with the Vision in 08 to turn heads and get people talking about the brand. Now, after a few years, that was accomplished, the only people who the Vision is "new" to are the ones who have been under a rock for the past 5 years and weren't going to notice anything new under the sun regardless. They sold the people like us what we wanted. They will continue to do so. But now it is time for them to impress the rest of the population with a different strategy. This is just a shift in focus for those who don't care for the futuristic award-winning design and who prefer more traditional looking machines. Voila, the Hardball, XR and XC. I think it's just a change in focus to include more riders and thereby get a larger market share. Smart. THE VISION WILL ALWAYS BE THE FLAGSHIP IN MY OPINION.

Don't know about all the ABS, it was a touch of sarcasm on my part.

As for the other comments concerning sales, I talked to one dealer here in Va that wasn't selling Visions either. Victory was making them buy and stock them, which he could not afford to do, so it took down his Victory sign.  The Vision is NOT a solid seller, but has a solid following, much like the Indian, just priced differently.  People buy for lots of different reasons.  There are many, many motorcycles that are wasting away in garages.  If all the Visions that have been sold to date would be on the road, we would see a lot more.  I thought at one time we had a lot of Vision in our area, and I rarely ever see one.  In fact this whole summer seems to be in a slump for riding, the worse it seems in the last seven years that I've been riding.  While there are pockets of Visions in various places, overall, most folks are not ready for the Vision. 

The rags have not given the Vision its just deserves and word of mouth is slow moving.  The whiners about the bags helped create the new flagship, the Cross Country Tour.  As with anything, we were given what we wanted, but we really didn't know what that was.  I'm not complaining, or lamenting.  I'm happier than pig in mud and will continue to be as long as my Vision is rolling.  Chances are, as long as I can get parts and fix it if it breaks, I'll have this bike as my last bike I'll ever buy.  I'm still saving a spot for my Indian though, totally different thought on that one.

I think Vision vs Cross bike sales are much like the older C vs TC sales. Very Regional There were dealers that could sell C's all day long and couldn't sell a TC to save their sole, yet others that couldn't keep a TC on the floor. Same thing happened as the Vegas and Kingpin models came in. Some dealers could not move a Vegas and others couldn't get'em in fast enough. It's no different with the Vision I suspect. Some area's just lend themselves to Visions while others the Cross bikes.

Whole-heartedly agree Miles. The market continues to be redefined by the economy. Was just reading that Harley is in for more changes this year, but not for the good. They are being further cheapened which is causing discontent among the ranks. I think we'll see Victory make a major jump this year with a lot of folks coming on board. With Harley starting to falter, and Honda gone home, Victory is in a prime spot. With that being said, I believe Victory will continue to promote the bikes with the more traditional styling above and beyond our beloved Vision. This is a case that Victory is letting the Vision rest on its laurels...

Banjo, the name you gave the thread made me laugh. No longer the flagship? Hell, seems a Vision can't even get in the back door anymore. I haven't seen one in an ad in a dog's age.

My dealer sells more Visions than XCT's. It must be regional differences. I agree with Chris about some HD riders though, my brother included, they're brainwashed.

Technically the Vision never was the Flagship. The Vegas is the true Flagship bike. The Vegas put Victory on the map, and made the brand competitive. It is also the base for the majority of their models, and is the longest running Victory model that has not been modified or messed with. The Vegas is the one bike that almost "everyone" likes (including non-Victory owners), and the reps I have talked to refer to it being the Flagship.

I can't believe my 2003 Vegas is about to turn 10, and I'm sure we will see a 10th anniversary addition for 2013 (plus a bunch of hype).

Depends on how you really define flagship. The intent of the term flagship for the Vision is, that it is the most expensive, with the most features, and it draws the greater attention to the overall brand. It's like Mustang, for Ford, or the Corvette, or Camaro for Chevy. When you think of the brand, you think of these. When I think of Victory, I will always think Vision, and it did draw the attention to Victory. Now that the CCT is the most expensive, it is also painfully obvious that Victory has moved it to the top spot as the poster child for the brand. The Vegas may be the top seller and the longest lived of the Victorys, it could be considered some as the flagship.

I have 8, yes 8 riding buddies that all own cross bikes and everyone of them that has ridden my vision thinks the vision rides better and is more comfortable than the cross bikes.But everyone of them also bought cross bikes because they like the more traditional looks.I came off a Jackpot and at first I was not a fan of the Vision styling but after 40K plus trouble free amazing comfortable miles on my first Vision I have really come to LOVE the vision styling and the fact that it doesn't look like anything else out there.I traded my 09 Vision for a 2012 Vision in April after briefly toying with the idea of a more tradtional looking CCT but after a few hours of riding a CCT I knew I could never settle for less than the most comfortable easiest riding motorcycle I have ever ridden.The king of luxury touring bikes is the Vision.Long live the King !
