Today at 5:24 am just outside of Rapids City Illinois, I achieved a personal first. I got 50,000 miles on my 2008 Vision. Prior to this I have never owned a motorcycle that I needed to buy a new set of tires for. I would sell or trade them off before it became necessary. My Vision is the first bike that I have owned that I can't stop riding and hope I never have to get a new one. I love the new Visions, but another will never be my "first".
I hope I am able to reach this personal milestone another couple of times over on it. Thanks Victory for making such a great bike!

I got it in March of 2008. I know I am no where near your number, but I agree with the comment you made one time in this forum, "you need to look for reasons to ride" (or something close to that). You are an inspiration to us all. Thanks for the comment, 50,000 feels sweet!

Congrats. I hope to have that many miles on my 2011 in a couple of years. I love this bike! I look for reasons to ride .

Thanks! It's been 7 years almost since I went back to riding. I never thought it would be an all the time thing though. Everytime I don't ride I feel I'm missing something...life is way too short...

I wasn't going to post it and I have no idea how to post a photo, but just the other day I turned 50,346 on my '08 SSG currently in Premium Street trim. Congrads to Sammy on 50K mark. I too had never owned a bike that I kept or rode to any where near 50K and the way this one is going I'll be posting 75K in about 18 more months.

Hey SammyJ...CoNgRaTs!!! That is awesome. I will be crossing 30k miles with my 2008 SSG on Friday 27 April. I see you are in my neck of the woods, I live in the QCA (IL side in Coal Valley). I've never riden with another Vision...could be fun if you are ever interested.

Keep riding and ride safe!

So cool to know I'll never have to buy another bike! They seem to routinely go 50 grand, and even do a buck! The way it rains around here, and the inherent wussiness of my hide means it'll take quite some time to hit the ton. I got 13,000 on my '08, it had 5600 on it when I bought it, and I've had it 2 1/2 years. I added up all my miles on all my bikes and it's only 165,000 but it took 39 years to do it. Guess I work too much.

I am glad to see so many people racking up the miles on their Visions as well! One thing seems to hold true for almost all Vision owners, they love them and as JS5Owner said, most of us are addicted to them. Thanks for all the well wishes. I will post again at the 100,000 mile mark!

varyder and or anyone else,!!!

I have a problem for which I have no solution. Hope some of you "old salts" will have an answer for me. Here goes;

I have let my air pressure get too low in my front tire and it cupped. As you know I got a woble on the front end. With my 40,000 mile service etc. I also put a new front tire on. when I left and headed home, the wobble was still there. It only wobbles at les than 25-30 MPH. at highway speed it is smooth and wonderfull. Since I have never been a "wrench" even in my own imagination I do not know if there is a serious issue or what.

Any suggestions ?????? Also I am 100 miles from my dealer so would like to be able to "quick fix" or at least know what to do before I ride 100 miles and it is something I have stupidly neglected.

Thanks in advance for your comments!!!

How's the steering bearing? Or front fork fluid? The first two things that comes to mind.

Congrats on the 50K. My 08 Vision just passed the old 03 TC last week.
I have 27, 100 on the TC and the Vision now has 27, 250.
It is going in for its 3rd rear tire this weekend--I think a 13,650 mile per rear average is pretty fair.

Very nice Sammy. I may not reach 50K on mine cause I'll probably trade it before that...........on a newer Vision!!!

I'm tellin' ya, you're living my story! Even close to the number of total miles/years in the saddle.
Lived in Bay of Gigs, B-Town, Alki for 25 years. Last bike took 10+ years to hit 40k miles.
Moved to New Mexico 4 years ago, bought my Vision 2 years ago, and will hit 40k on it this year.

Next year will hit 50k. Like SammyJ, the most miles on any single bike.

Love Love LOVE IT!

I've got 56,500 on it now and it has been in the shop for the last 3 weeks getting some more upgrades and periodic maintenance done. I am going nuts! I have been riding my wife's '12 XC. I will pick my bike up tomorrow and then look out!
I don't know if I will ever get rid of my '08, when this motor dies I will just get a new one and start again!
