I have just been curious as to the age of most of the purchasers or admirers of this style of bike. I understand this should hit a large range of folks, but I am sure Victory was aiming at a certain demographic makeup. What was your first impression of the bike. First thing running through the gray matter.

Let me start by saying I am 37 and absolutely thought this was the coolest bike I have ever seen. Love it or Hate it by design. I give it tons of style points. Showing the motor off highlighted with some chrome for old school. Electronics and gadgets for the nerd in me. Hot rod speedo and tach, with some 80's hot rodding for sloping the sidebags and integrating them. What appears to be total custom body work over the other existing looks of bikes on the market.
Just dang COOL!

I am 43 years old and I mostly liked the Vision. My wife is mid-40's and Absolutely Loved the Vision when she
saw it @ Myrtle Beach Bike Week. When she said it was our next bike, I then pursued the purchase. (o: Yeah!

42 here.
I was looking for a reliable American made bike. I have my 2003 H-D electra glide which has been a good, but unreliable scooter. Since I have a ton of miles on "The Money Pit", I was looking to trade her in for a newer version of H-D. Then I seen the vision, and then had a Vision! I searched the web, and talked to folks who ride every style of bike. Got a 50-50 response on liking the cosmetics, but 100% on the quality of bike Victory put out. With that being said, I was sold on Victory but the choice of bike was still up in the air. The vision, well had not really been out there for order or sale. I went to my nearest Victory dealer (More than 90 Miles away) and sat on a Kingpin.
That cinched it, Victory was it, then he told me more about the Vision, and I was sold 100%. I put the order in, I believe the end of June.
The Looks, the engineering, the quality and reviews sold me.

Just turned 50. Been riding an electrglide since 2003. Bar hoppers are nice, but serious riding, you need more space to make the trip more enjoyable. Specially when the old lady comes along. She can pace stuff in spaces I didnt know the bike had. I think when you reach a point and have been riding for a while you owe it to yourself to be comfortable.

Pre Dirt I have been riding a chopper and the wife had her bike, she had a close call and wouldn't ride her own bike any more and needless to say she didn't want anything to do with the back of the chopper. So it was double up on her bike and that was just OK not to big and the performance sucked compared to the Chop. Well it was decided to sell both and get into a touring bike. I looked at Harley but the attitude of the dealership just chapped my a$$. I had seen pictures of the new Victory Vision and wanted to see it in person before putting money down on one. I had talked to the Victory dealer a couple times and he thought they would get a rep with one sometime in August. So anyway I happend to drop in and the Victory was there, they let me ride it and that was all it took. The pre order program had ended but the rep said he could take care of that so it was ordered. Cherry Tour Premium.

I couldn't agree with you more about comfort. The young U.S. Marines that I work with just don't understand. They do like the looks of the other Victory's and think the "bar Hopper" style is cool. I'm here to say that the Vision looks cool! It also appears to have more comfort features that I'm use to. Best of both worlds! I can't wait to see the faces on all the old retired Marines that work with me here on the base when I pull up on the Vision. We all have H-D's....

I'm a young 53 and ride an 05 Hammer but now realize that maybe it's time for some real comfort for long distance riding. I had a Gold Wing about 7 years ago and thought that it was the ultimate...which is..or was... by touring standards. But the Vision caught my eye instantly and I'm hooked. I'm traveling to a dealer next week that is 150 miles away just to demo a black tour that they just got in. I can hardly wait as I told my wife that this will be my last bike after having so many through-out the forty some odd years of riding. The cherry street is my choice and my wife will take the reins of the Hammer....who loves it and won't let me trade it in.

Good luck to all and ride safe.

Love Victory and love the Vision. I am trading my '03 CC a Vision when I do buy. I have my'99 CC setup as solo ride for riding through the beach.

61 yrs old (or young-depends on the day) lol. When I saw the Vision @ Bikeweek in Daytona 1 look was all it took for me to know that this was my next ride- no if's,and's or but's. The styling grabbed me & wouldn't let go. I put down a $1000 deposit in April, went to Atlanta for a test ride w/ my SO and we both knew I had made the right decision on the Vision. I just wish it would get here soon. The days 'til Biketoberfest & Lobsterfest are counting down & my dealer still doesn't have a ship conformation :/ Luke

I'm 45 years old and this will be my second victory bike. Had a 2001 TC Which took a good tumble down the interstate. Thanks God I'd already ordered my new victory. Hope to have it in time for biketoberfest. Dealer told me it left the building today in Iowa.

At 52 I have been riding for 35 years currently on a BMW sport touring and a Victory Kingpin. Once I heard about the Vision last April I put my deposit down on the spot. Last week's test ride was the clincher. Well balanced, comfortable and great power. Cant wait for my Midnight Cherry Tour to arrive. Any day now...

I'm hitting the Big Four-O next month. Been riding for over 20 years. I currently have an 06 Kingpin with over 10k miles. When I first saw the Vision I didn't know what to think. I didn't really love or hate it (I think I'm in something like a 2 percentile in that regards, heh heh), but wanted to hold my final opinion until I had a chance to see one in person and test ride. I finally got to do that and I am absolutely sold on it. While I still think my 'Pin looks much cooler, you just can't beat the ride of the Vision.

It's starting to get chilly up here, so I think I'll wait until spring to get mine. I don't think I could stand having it sit in my garage all winter and not being able to ride it.

At 33, I may very well be the youngest Vision owner. I haven't been riding long, but I tend to average 12,000-15,000 miles per year. That's a lot of road to cover on a Jackpot. The Vision is my 5 bike, thus far, and the most comfortable and pretty close to (if not) the best handling bike I've ridden. With the lower back issues I've been dealing with as of late, I just could put the miles on the Jackpot that I'd like to. I have two kids that love to ride, so passanger comfort was a consideration. My wife rides her own, so the fact that she doesn't really care for the bike didn't play into the purchase very much.

39(for a few more days). Just got her this morning. Almost 250 miles on her today. Handling, comfort, power, design, sound system and bags are first rate. I can see why the editors of the major motorcycle magazines raved. It's rave worthy.

Did I tell you that no one owns one by me. It doesn't suck to have the only one in your county and one of maybe 5 in the state. Reminds me of my 99 V92C. Rare bike and an outstanding ride.

34 here. I was first drawn to the bar-hopper type bikes. Since my wife is riding more, the Vision fits the need much better. The bike handles better than any other I have owned. The ipod integration and other techy gadgets are just icing on the cake.

49. (The new 29.)

Blew out both ACLs playing volleyball last spring and can't sit on a sport-tour for hours on end anymore. Looking forward to the legroom and comfort on the Vision.

If you will notice this ended back in Oct 2007. A full year has gone by and quite a few more folks have showed up. If you haven't responded to this one, feel free to add age and your FIRST impression.

Well, since you asked...58. Been riding 43 years. Bought my first Victory in 2000. My first cruiser. Still have it. I started bugging my dealer about having Victory build a Goldwing style bike in 2000. I had a Goldwing, and wanted the V-twin motor, low seat height, and leg room of a cruiser in a luxury touring bike. First time I saw the Vision, I hated it. Too futuristic looking. After riding one several times, the looks of it started to not matter anymore. They missed a couple of obvious things on the first rendition, like power reverse and a center stand, but it really is a Victory Goldwing. That's a good thing, and I'm enjoying my Vision.

I hope nobody from Victory reads this and sees an owner call it a Victory Goldwing. This is a Travshamockery (thanks BuckN8kd)!

He could have called it a Luxoliner, Land Yacht, Two wheeled beast of passion, anything but a ....................!!!!!

49, till February. Been riding since 2001 after I safetly returned to US soil. During my time out of the country I feel through a second story hole in the floor while clearing a house and ended up with a "Styrker" hip (hince the nickname). I ride for a national biker club known as the Buffalo Soldiers we generally put in up to 15000 miles a year so I was looking for something that would fit that requirement. Most of our crew ride Goldwings but I wanted something different with some character and a soul.

I'm 32 with a couple other toys. I thought it was the most comfortable bike. I hated it when I first seen the ad on the internet. I thought it looked like a giant moped. When I seen it up close and personal, I realized how beautiful the front and rear end is. The front end looks like a jet-fighter cowl induction, the rear end is reminescent of an old Cadillac and the V-twin between sent the bikes look over the edge for me. When I was out shopping around, I took my girlfriend along to hop on the backs of all the bikes. We probably sat on 20 or so different bikes just that day alone. I didn't like the styling of the trunk but it has grown on me (a little), so I went trunkless. Out of the 3 on the floor (small dealership), we kept coming back to the one that had the exhaust upgrade and the primium package. It was a SSG street primo. Once we started it up and I heard the engine (it was the only one that had the level 2 pipes already), I was sold. My first ride down the street was with my girlfriend (26). She liked it that much. I didn't even get a chance to start it before she was on the back. I hadn't even got it home when I realized that it was an attention grabber. I stopped by my parents house on it the next day and I think my Dad (56) said it best. "The more I look at it, the more I want to look at it". He really liked the fully customized 05' V-Star that I had, so I gave him the keys and told him it was his (Happy Father's Day). We went riding together the next week to get the tags changed over on both bikes.
