ROCHESTER,NY | Well we had our first snow fall the other day.That required,salt.The season has come to a close,and the new V will be ,on the bench for a few month's.Man I need to move to a warmer climate. Got the V, on Oct.1 and put 3000 mile's on her. That is 2500 more than I put on the "07'' Dresser in 3 yr's. Love the V!!!!!!!!!!! NOTHING LIKE IT ON THE ROAD!!!!!!!     |

| When I bought Anny it was in Nov and I put 8500 miles on by May 1st. The worst part was when people would plow their driveways and push the snow across the road leaving ice speed bumps. Heated seat and hand grips help with cold weather gear. Get home and wash the salt off. |

Edmond, OK 2012 Vision, 2012 Cross Country | It's only over if you say so. Victory's are ment to be ridden year around, its not a HD! Today the 2011 Vision would have been a year old to me, when I traded it in on my 2012 Vision about a month ago it had 24K on it. So lets ride! |

ROCHESTER,NY | No, to much salt on road's. Not affraid of the cold.It's the unseen,hidden damage that the salt does. I know wash it off after done riding,Right??? No thank's. Frozen water( ICE) is almost as worse as the salt. I don't care what anybody say's. You CAN'T get all of it off. I've owned 8 new mc's the is the 9th and all way's get top dollar for them. CLEANER than when first new.Beside's gun season opened today,only I had to work.But tomarrow bambie's, Mom and Dad better Run for cover.It will be venison bbq very soon.And I don't mean on the grill, true wood fired smoked bbq, 1/2 or hind 1/4r's. |

DeRidder, LA | We had a nice little flurry of snow here in the great NW this morning, and I got up early solely so I could take a ride. Made me feel like I was going warp speed as the snow blows by. I loved it, what a great way to start the day. |

I said that for 25 years (actually Drier Climate) riding in the Seattle area until I finally got fed up with the rain and moved to New Mexico. Missed out on many (s)miles of riding, many hours in the saddle.
Don't wait! Move, Move Now!!

Northeast Ohio | Salt is one thing, ice and snow are another. Cross a bridge up here with a little ice and down you go. That will rock your world real quick. I wish it was as simple as throwing on heated clothes and washing off a little salt dust. You southern belles need to try and walk a mile in our shoes. |

Tifton, GA | I enjoy riding as much as anyone, but rain, or the chance of ice on a rode are a no go for me. I will ride home, but stay so tense that the fun goes away. I ride year round in South GA so missing a day or two to the weather is no big deal really. Just plain cold I ride lowest temp so far was 24 degrees on the 6 mile ride to work. Feel sorry for the guys that have snow and ice to deal with just be careful if you ride. If I lived there my snow skis would be used a lot more than they are now. |

Princeton, IL | I rode the 72 miles to work last Wednesday and is was about 24 degrees out. Like it has been said here cold is no Big deal, I call it quits at snow and ice. Besides I have a ton of mods to do so once I hibernate her I will get busy. I will be able to ride tomorrow and I will turn 45,000 miles on the old girl. I just can't let go of riding season!

Bay of Gigs, WA | The Jukebox is always gassed and ready, should the blue spot on Venus happen to get overhead and the rain quits. If it coincides with timing, a quick ride occurs. I'm not much of an iron butt-er, prefer to use the scoot to go about my daily chores. Otherwise, I'm feeling guilty all the time for not taking this or that long trip. Much better, for me, to be using it as another option for getting around, even if it's just down to the Tap Room for a growler. Temp not an issue, wet is. Tired of dirty bikes all the time. Took Philo Beddo's advice from "Every Which Way but Loose" and rode it through the car wash, but that just ripped the horns off my helmet, so when it's a real gully washer, like this week, it just sits. boohoo. At least there's football and The Walking Dead... |

2 mi from Jim Beam n KY | I will no longer ride on roads that are clear, but are salt covered. Too much rust on my 11 from riding Jan and Feb 2011 on salty roads.
Jerry, you're not alone!! A good chiropractor, and inversion table will do wonders. I blew L3 in March. Do some searching. There is a great thread on this subject, you can see what worked for others. |
