Maybe a smidge better, but can't really tell. My bike has always run strong and no popping or stalling. Mine was one of the first ones, so I don't know how I've managed to skip some of these problems.

OUCH!!! Nope, not dreaming... must be back in the saddle...

Although now I get the weekend off. Hubby just took of with the guys for The Dragon, so I'm home being football Team Mom.... Now it's just parked out in the garage, taunting me! (Why I wanted it done Tues., so I would get to ride before he left....)

Had mine done the beginning ot this week at the 10K service. Mine has always run well and i dont really notice any change. I have the Ness Honkers and they used the level II. Will be able to tell if mpg is affected tomorrow on the way to and from Helldorado Days in Tombstone.

Had the remap done today along with new S1L1 pipes. Sounds great, rolling off the throttle is a lot smoother. Had it stall twice for no reason. Have to ride all weekend and see if there is a problem.

I finally got mine flashed on Saturday.  I was not getting any stalling, but I was getting a bit of decel popping.  I had 4 pops yesterday and none on today's 300+ mile ride.  It seems like it has addressed some of the decel popping for me.

efhut1, personnally, I would check the plugs, change the exhaust flange gaskets and have them flash it again. Make sure there are no exhaust leaks anywhere. I'm sure I'm not saying anything new, but sometimes the simplist things are overlooked or not done in order. One more note, ambient tempature has a big effect, so if you in below 60degree weather I wouldn't expect more than about 34-36mpg.

Got it done Saturday. No noticeable change - no popping - runs great.
Biggest problem is damned clock flashing. Did you know you can't set the clock if your gas-lo warning is activated? I know..... GRRRR

Reflash done today.
Since we tried it two Saturdays ago (when Victory is closed) they had the email with the download code all ready to go today.

They did the reflash, tightened my header bolts, and replaced two screws that were missing behind the front access panel in 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for test ride. (Screws on relay was checked two Saturdays ago …. And were tight).

Bike seems about the same.
It does seem to pickup a little better and it sounds different (but maybe I am looking for some kind of change).

No popping or missing ,,,…. Never had it before though.

For some reason my average speed indicator keeps resetting to 20 (never did that before). Plus, when I refueled the bike (first stop after leaving the shop) I noticed my average fuel mileage reset when I zero'd out my trip meter.

Some guy was acting like an azz in a mini van while I was working my way out of town, so I went from 0 to 80 after the last light and let him look as goofy as any want-a-bee in a mini van can look as he saw me get smaller in the distance.

Can't tell anything about fuel mileage since it was crazy windy here today and I had a headwind most of the way home (driving 80mph didn't help much either).

Lost much time having this done anyway.
Stopped at Wal-Mart to pickup some boxer shorts. Some guy walked over and said he wanted to see a Vision in person … then we talked shop for a bit.

Stopped at my Western Star truck dealer to return a wrong part. Cleaned out the place since most everybody came out to look at bike and ask questions.

Then stopped at the Windys to try out new Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Got stopped by an older couple who never saw anything like it.

Then rode towards home and stopped at local parts store to pickup a light for my truck. Parts guys went out to look at bike.

Reminds me of the Red Cross Poker Run I went on last Sunday.
At every stop there was a crowd around my bike.
One stop was at a bike shop that builds trikes. The owner looked the Vision over and told me how nice a trike a Vision would make, and he could make me a deal if I'd let him play.

just did the recall today along with a new download for the ness exhaust, they said the new flash would
add a little more fuel at the low to mid throttle positions. The bike ran good before now seems a bit stronger
It never had a stalling problem.

Check, check, check, check, check, check, check your spark plugs.

Oh, Check, check, check, check, check, check, check your exhaust flange, check your exhaust flange.

(Sung to the tune of Shake your Booty by KC and the Sunshine Band)

Anyway, it worked for me after I experience the same. New plugs, tightened the exhaust flange that was leaking, now it runs like a new bike.

On the initial 50 mile ride home from dealer, no popping or stall. I had both problems. S1L2.

Peppier acceleration but still pops. I've checked the plugs and exhaust. Hasn't stalled in 300 miles since the remap and doesn't feel like it will now. I have more confidence in it not stalling now as I roll up to a stop or turn. I used to keep a little roll on the throttle.

Hmmmm. Mine will pop when cold, or when running hard off the interstate to a stop light. Other than that, 100% better from before and no stalling... I've not done it yet, but I've got new gaskets that I'm going to replace as I fear there still may be a little leak. Also, I'm not sure, but I think there is a place it might leak at the come together that could cause the same thing. Before this is over, I'll know a little about the freedom motor, or at least I think I will.

I had the reflash done several weeks ago. Since the dealer I normally take my bike to is 60 minutes away, I decided to go with the local dealer (5 minutes away). When I left the bike with them, I indicated that it had the Stage 1/Level 2, and the tech said they would take care of getting the proper download.

Upon picking up the bike, they indicated that the recall was done and I rode away. After several weeks of riding, I was not at all impressed with the results. In fact, I noticed significantly more popping than before. I contacted my regular dealer and had them look up the VIN for recall history. They indicated that the recall was marked complete, however appeared to have the stock download in it. They called Polaris and confirmed this. I guess this would explain why my bike ran worse after the recall. Because of the time of year (it's getting packed away for winter), I will have this addressed in the spring.

The moral of this story is, make sure your bike is reflashed with the proper download, and always take your bike to a dealer you trust (even if you have to drive a little further).

The end.

S1L1 - bike runs better with less decel popping, seems a little smoother during acceleration. Not night and day difference but it runs better.

Had this done today and the performance is not much better than when I had the S1/L1 remap done. What has improved is the amount of popping had truly declined and I must admit that this engine does seem to change with age.

I just passed 5000 miles and it just seems to get smoother and smoother. What an awesome MC!
