I have the 2007 Street Glide and it is definitely on of the best engine transmission combinations that HD has made. I have had HD in my garage everyday since 1980 and I know the improvements that they have made are immense. I rode the Vision on a cool day here in Calgary and enjoyed every second of the ride. The list is long as to how it beats the jugs right off of my Street Glide. For all of the reasons listed prior to my post and it has floating discs that are stock. I rode away on my Glide and made my mind up right there to turn around and go back and buy the Steel Gray Vision. My wife and coworkers asked if my Harley friends would still ride with me? Well if they don't, I'm sure to find new friends. So I have to soon say so long to my HD. I take a bow to the Victory engineers and staff for having the fortitude not to build a clone. When I first saw the Victory Vision on the WWW last June I very interested in it. At that point I wasn't sure I wanted to make the leap from my 2000 Kawasaki Nomad to the Victory Vision but I did know I wanted to test ride it real badly. So I made the trek from Regina to Sturgis Bike Week because I knew Victory was going to have the Vision there for demo rides. The first test ride was with my wife on the tour. I knew right there I was going to put my order in for one when I got back to home to Regina. The second demo ride was by myself on the street and it didn't seem to make a lot of difference in either ride. It rode and handled that well!

The same week I got back I went down to the dealer, Thunder City, and made the deal! I am so looking forward to spring and putting some serious miles on the Vision.

Perhaps we can get together this summer when I pass thru Calgary on my way to the rockies.

When I firt saw the prototype come to my dealer I believe back in August I was a little skeptical but intriged with the concept,I was looking to upgrade from a Suzuki 1500Intruder which is for sale,by the way,to a full dresser, thought GW and BMW but did't like fixed riding position, never realy was a Harley guy I like to be different, kept watching any news about ride reviews and found the more I read the more I liked and I quess once my wife got to ride on one at a demo ride late fall our minds were made up,ordered that very day, should have my Midnight cherry Tour Premium later this month or next.
I know keeping an eye on this forum is a good source of info to keep your dealer costs down, lots of helpful information

If you're ever coming through Edmonton look me up go for coffee swap Vision tales.

You have some beautiful country to ride in! I've only been to Calgary in the winter (skiing Lake Louise)!
Send awesome pics when you get the Vision.

Oh Canada, Oh Canada! I love when a HD rider opens his/her mind up to try new things. Often times they discover what they have been missing. I agree that cloning is for sheep! I have 2 brothers, 1 brother-in-law, and several friends that won't give Victory credit for building a better bike. That's ok, I always tell them that they care more about T-Shirts than riding anyway.

I stole / borrowed the line Cloning is for Sheep from the now defunct Excelsior Henderson company that tried to make a come back. You bet that as soon as I get my new Steel Gray girl you will have some picture of her posted here. There are some great Canadian links at my blog Calgary Thursday bike night.

Congrats on the new Vision’s Bobby and Crawford. Both Calgary and Regina have some great roads to ride and the Vision is the best bike to ride them on. I grew up on a farm by Scobey Montana just 14 miles south of the Canadian border and 65 miles west of the North Dakota border. I’ve been in Calgary for the stamped and would go to Regina all the time to shop when growing up there.

You Canucks are awsesome! Did you get the new High Definition NHL chanel? Just when I didn't think watching hockey couldn't get better, they broadcast in high definition! Man, it's like being at the game..(I like to hip check my wife when she crosses the threashold from the kitchen to the living room-MY BLUE LINE!) I've received about 100 minutes in marriage game misconducts since HDNHL has come on. Will be riding this week end! Spring is just around the corner, hang in there!
