Well it finally happened. After 5 years of owning my vision, a part finally failed. My regulator is going bad. Took it to my local dealer\shop they said yup that is what is wrong and it's covered under my ext-warranty. I actually get to use it.. Wheew.
Now my question is can you buy another extended warranty plan after this 5 year Extended one expires in Sept 2014???? Anyone do this already?

I would guess no but I am sure your dealer would know for sure.

I think you're pretty much on your own.. as far as an extended warranty is concerned after the 5 year mark on the Vision. I sort of doubt that there is any company willing to underwrite a further extended warranty on a 5 year old bike. Too much risk for them.

I'll bet for $600 bucks you can get one and it will only cover the motor nothing ells

I used to sell extended warranties. If one is available, it will likely not cover much. The older the bike, the less it covers, both in reduced coverage, and in percentage of repairs covered... and there are deductibles on older bike claims.

Personally, I would pass on the warranty at this point.

My extended warranty expired as well last December. I took the Vision 2 hours away to the closest dealership
and had them do a go over before it expired. They did 3 things, and the regulator was one of them as well.

I might use an oil other than Victory's now, and might even go past the 2,500 mark on oil changes. (o:
