Well, I started as a computer engineer in 1981 with Digital Equiptment Corp, bought out by Compaq the HP. Digital was know in the industry as DEC, hence DECTEC.

As for "Slider", those behind me on the V2V9 watched the Vision slide acreoss that intersection in Jersey on it's tipovers....'Nuf said

I've worked in the NASA space biz (interplanetary spacecraft at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA, later Earth orbiting satellites controlled at Goddard Space Flight Center in MD) since 1976. Also a big Steve Miller Band fan. Escaped Ohio at age 19 in 1972, been living "out west" since then (currently Colorado), where all the cowboys live. Prefer the wide open spaces to the city. Been thinking about a logo to replace the Victory emblem just above the motor on my Vision. Something like a '60s drawing of an alien space ship (dinner plate with the bulge in the middle), with a cowboy hat tilted on top.....

Some people call me Maurice.....

I've rode Polaris snowmobiles for many years. Last year they came out with a new model called the shift. Living in Minnesota, hence mnshift.
