I'll be taking a test ride this Saturday when the tour stops in the DC area. The wife and I have been counting down the days. We'll be riding the tour model.

We got to test ride two Victory Vision Tours on Saturday. One was the standard and the second was the premium.
The premium model had highway pegs and the add-on wings for extra air movement around the lower leg area.
The add-on wings looked fine, IMHO as optional accessories. Heat was not an issue with me on either bike, but it wasn't hot when we rode Saturday morning.
The floor boards are real nice, and allow you to move your feet around on them however, the highway pegs seemed to be a hazard, 'cause I caught my feet on them a few times when coming to a stop. I mentioned this to one of the engineers and he said I was the second person to mention that "this morning."
My wife got to talking to another lady who had ridden as a passenger and they agreed that the passenger floor boards leave a little to be desired. The engineer told us of the optional mounting position, which may, or may not solve the issue my co-rider has. Our Yamaha RSV has an aftermarket peg, which gives her two foot positions, and keeps her comfortable on long rides. I hope an aftermarket company is looking into this for the Vision.
As far as ride, power, weight, seat height, slow speed handling, I think they did a great job. Easy up off the kickstand, and the slow speed handling was effortless.
I did like the seat height and width a lot (I'm 5'9"), and the lower back support was very nice. My wife liked the seat & back support of the passenger area. Ride was smooth, although a little vibration was felt in our feet (my wife noticed it more than I) and I did notice the mirrors quivering some, especially when rolling on the throttle, like getting on the interstate. The mirrors are big, and worked well for me.I did notice my hands in the reflection, but I didn't take the time to adjust them before heading out. They were set up better for me on the first bike, so take time to adjust them when you take one out. I loved the torque and the V Twin rumble. I had it up to almost 90 when we got onto the interstate, for a few seconds before we caught the pack.
I had read one review where a guy had trouble finding the kickstand. I rode two, first one was fine, but for some reason the second one gave me a little problem when I tried to catch my heel on it. So maybe that is what that other guy experienced. Maybe Victory has a couple different versions of the pre-production kickstands??? I forgot to ask the rep about that.
I also spoke to the factory rep about the absence of helmet locks. I pointed out that the trunk is going to be full of luggage when touring and it would be nice to secure the helmets when you stop for lunch. He said that they originally had locks but they didn't work. And they are trying to come up with something.
The trunk (14.6 gal) is almost as big as my RSV (15 gal) but the saddlebags (7.3 gal each) are smaller than the RSV (9.3 gal each). It's a shame they couldn't have gotten more usable space from those huge looking saddlebags. I looked at the luggage rack in the catalogue and it looks smaller than any of the competitions'.

First, thank you for your honest opinions & review. Second, does anyone know if we can view
this accessories catalog online anywhere yet? I really want the top trunk luggage rack, but I
got to see it first. The only time I'll be at a Victory dealer is when I am handing them a check,
and picking up the Vision.

Here is a link to the beginning of the 2008 accessory catelog.

Go to this link and choose [2008 Victory Accessories] from the "Choose Catelog:" pulldown.

After that, start paging through the catelog. The Victory options are throughout the catelog.

The luggage rack is at the top of page 9.

FYI - there's a list of accessories on Vision-Riders with part#s and prices (just doesn't have photos).
