in the process of powdercoating my brushed aluminum panels the glue did not hold up that holds the clips on. Anyone know what kind of glue I could use to put them back on with?

I haven't had to glue the clips in place that your talking about.

I have used automotive goop with very good results in other projects.

If you are talking about the clips that the bolts go through they aren't supposed to be glued.

It is a guess on my part but I think that JB Weld epoxy would work.

Two careers ago, when my brother was a professional mechanic, he used to say that he was a "Certified JB Welder".

JB Weld is prob what I will go with. The clips I'm talking about are on the underside of the front wing panel that hold the clips that the bolts go into.

I used a product called Plastic Steel Steel Weld Epoxy. It has the same appearance as the original stuff that was used from the factory. It really holds very well.

if you go to a auto body shop and tell them what you have or just take it in. tell them what metal and where to glue it they would probley do it for little to nothing. in the shop i work at we have some two part glue that we use to hold semi truck side panels on it would hold what you are talking about. but they would have to scuff the area that the glue would go. the stuff is as strong as a weld but if you need to sand it down you can. i just wouldnt try to go out and buy a tube of it tho its like $100-200 a tube.
