I'm hooking up some leads for the wifes heated jacket and my heated vest. I tied in her jacket lead to the plug under the seat front cowl (small grey plug) as she has had her jacket for some time. No problem there as I'm sure there isn't enough jacket draw to cause any grief, but I'm wondering if I can tie in the lead for my vest there as well? If not recommended do any of you have a suggestion for nother power supply point?

I guess I should tell you I do not want to install a powerlet outlet on the dash console but ny other suggestions are welcome, thanks.... T

I placed one on the aluminum panel below the left leg. Fits great.

Sorry Prime I guess I didn't word that last bit very well. I'd prefer to not install any powerlet outlets anywhere. I like hard wiring components whenever possible. Thanks just the same.

Teach, I ran some 8 gauge wire directly from the battery and split them under the seat for my Gerbing's. If I am not mistaken, that small plug has a pretty small wire on it. Probably 16 or 18 gauge. I would be afraid of that small of a wire catching fire with too much load.

Thanks guys I decided to just order up a powerlet lead for the vest that will plug right into the port in the glove box, but I do appreciate all the suggestions.
