Tonight I meet up with Magic (Don) and his wife at Texas Pride BBQ. They pulled in right after me and we got some BBQ.

When we were eating a friend showed up from work, Sonny, on his 2007 HD Deluxe.

An 8 Ball Vegas arrived about 7:15 that had a great set of pipes. He is interested in a Vision or a Cross Country.

They had a Dyno setup and were doing three runs for $40.

On the way back through the band area a Hammer showed up.

About 15 minutes before I had to leave, Ken and his wife showed up on their Vision. I met Ken when my dealer had the demo truck day. He was trying to make a choice between the Yamaha bagger and the Vision. In the end he picked the Vision. It was great seeing them again.

My kitchen pass expired and I rode home.

All and all it was a great time.

Setup meets in your area and put some faces to the screen names.

Ride Safe!

ARE YOU TELLING ME WHAT TO DO?!? IF YOU ARE, THEN I'LL TELL YOU TO
keep on making good suggestions. (I didn't really get anybody with that, did I?)

I tried once to get together with another rider. Weather created an unexpected event which killed that plan, but I hope one of us will be running through the other's neighborhood sometime soon.

I run Linux. I use an external frame backpack instead of internal frame. I gave up sports to join the debate team in high school. I gave up rock climbing when it became so popular. I traded an HD Road Kill for the Victory Vision. I LIKE being the weird one.

I'd like to see what demographic elects to be weird, too.

Anybody know of any good Vision or even Victory events in the Southeast?

trailbarge, you cannot miss the Southeast Victory Meet in Helen each June. We had 25 or so Visions there this year... There is always something going on in the southeast if you want to hook up with other Visions or Vic riders. Check out the VMC southeast forums for a whole bunch of rides coming up... Did I mention Lobsterfest next month???

Yep, it was a fun evening. New friends, good "Q", and best of all was watching the people going down the line of bikes---HD, HD, HD, HD, whattheheckisthat!, HD, Honda, HD, another one of those mystery machines!, HD, HD, HD.......It was sort of cool checking out the colors that were flying out there, too. I can remember 6 different clubs representing there (with no problems, but none were expected).

Paul, we have to do that again before too long and make sure that Mitch can join us! And we'll need to get some pics of it all, too.

Don,

I really liked the vintage VW engine three wheeler. That was a vehicle that looks like it was rode hard and put away wet!

I wish I would have gotten Ken's email address. It would be nice to have another San Antonio Vision Rider on the board. I will ask Big Paul and Kent Powersports to give him my number.

I would like to get there early enough to have my Vision baseline Dyno'ed.

Paul

The VMC... thanks for the tip. I'll look into it.

Right now, I'm getting pumped for the Ray Price rally in downtown Raleigh this weekend. Should I clean the bike or just go in dirty-n-stinkin like I usually ride? hmmmm......

Is anybody else going to be there or will I be the lone Vision out of 5000 bikes again?

Probably should put this in a differnet thread, but.......

OK, anyone going to the Ray Price Rally, be sure and catch the Cheat, Richard Turner (card sharp) and the magician, Doug Gorman. Both are friends of mine and both are excellent entertainment. Richard is the world's foremost card mechanic--you will be amazed!! and Doug is a great magician. Be sure to tell them that Don "Magic" Moravits sent you by to say hi!
