I have just purchased a 2008 vision I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to remove the saddle bags.

Yep but it's easier if you download the Vision manual and see the step-by-step procedure for doing so. They don't, however, come off as a "single" unit like they did on my Concours or 85 BMW. Nothing like a saddlebag you carry into a hotel room. First the "doors" or covers, then some more body work that's time consuming but nothing exceptionally hard to do. Like I said...if you can download a manual you can do that job.

I wouldn't call it a saddle bag. Not as a unit you take off the bike. It's a saddle bag in terms of storage. But its multiple pieces that make up the storage its not a solid unit with a door. Behind the saddlebag door, that mounts to the frame it can physically be removed , with a lot of work! Your best bet for getting an idea what's involved would be go online and look up the microfiche for the vision..

Thanks for the info. I was just going to strip her down and clean everything whilst she is of the road for the winter. Thanks again.

I'd be remiss if I didn't say something about the '08's too...there could be some difference in the way the body panels go together that may work for my 2010 but not yours. At the very least, while it takes a few minutes to remove all that plastic, it's also a good way to get to know your bike. Have fun I say.

Check out this website. I use it to checkout all the vision parts and if you put them in a cart you can see the prices. Its ideal for part numbers as well

This is the page for your 2008 but other years are available
