Reedley, CA | I am a bit confused, I have 68K on my 2008 Vision Premium Tour and need to replace the clutch. Looking on line I see Barrett but a lot of people saying stay away from Barrett?
Also I am not a wrench but have a friend that is so replacing it does not scare me but unclear as what to order
Bike is stock
any assistance is appreciated

| Barnett is a great clutch company. Been making clutches for a lot of years for every model bike out there. I wouldn't think twice about putting one in. Lloydz sells them and get a primary gasket. It will tell you soak clutch plates in oil so make sure you have a quart of what ever oil you use. Not old oil either.
I would stay away from stock clutches.

Manchester, CT | I purchased my Barnett from Lloydz. I had issues only to find out that Barnett released some clutches that were out of spec coming out of manufacturing. The stack and spring were too short. Lloydz rebuilt the clutch for $0. You got to love those guys. I have 10K on the Barnett and love it. The pull is a little harder than the OEM clutch. |

LaGrange, GA | I agree with kevinx - don't get the spring and pressure plate. The regular clutch kit is awesome - fantastic feel compared to the stock Vic parts. The pressure plate and spring are WAY over the top. There are people knocking out 130Hp and pulling trailers with the stock spring - don't kill your forearm or your hydraulics for no real gain.
Also, you don't need the clutch spring tool if you can round up two or three 4-6" c-clamps. That's a lot cheaper and you can get them at Home Depot. |
