All personnel please clear the runway for takeoff.

I should be there that evening and staying through Sat morning. Bored from about 4pm till late.

So looking to see what will be available. Any suggestions? Want to get out and get around and do stuff? Not looking to use the hotel room as a place to catch up on sleep, more like just a base for operational manuevers.

So, eats, things to do, etc. Have bike, will travel!

Mexican food.. Pappasitos
Seafood......... Pappadous
Steak-........... Brennans ( all located on I-10 around Gessner )
There is plenty to do any day of the week.. take a ride out to clear lake... or go towards conroe and check out Tomball. Both are nice rides towards water. If you like sports there is always something to do.. om wednesdays there is a section in the paper that will list from A-Z what is going on for the weekend. Good luck and enjoy.

Mexican (you should say TexMex) - Pappasitos is probably best option
...or you find a run down shack and eat REAL Mexican, located just about anywhere
Seafood - Pappadeaux is generally liked   (sorry, I'm not a seafood lover and I've been in Houston for 11yrs)
Steak - Well then Brennans, Perry's or Flemings are all great options.
..... I actually prefer Taste of Texas.  If you are a carnivore, then you need to check out Fogo De Chao on Westheimer.  $50 for dinner meal, start out on real nice salad bar and then by use of a "coaster" you begin the onslaught of MEAT.  green up ...the servers keep coming with all flavors on a skewer and you eat until you bust.  No limits here.  Mmmmmm  Hungry now!

Riding around Houston is okay if you get out of the city... really need to be West of San Antonio & Austin but there are some scenic locations.

All depends on what you're after bud...   Hit us up on the Bayou City Vic Riders forum on the VMC and maybe we can arrange something with ya!

NASA is located south of Houston. They do have things to see. Last time I was there they had a Saturn 5 on display.
