Looking to go to AVR for the first time this year and plan on taking the toy hauler to make it a week long trip. Can anyone make suggestions for a nearby campground that I can use as my operational base for the week?

Last year I stayed at Cenla Campground. 1 block off Hwy 71, 1 mile south of Hwy. 9, Spirit Lake. 5 minute ride to the AVR. Clean, quiet, lots of shade trees and nice pool.

What toy hauler do you have Mr. Taz? (Or is that, Mr. 456?)

We have stayed at Cenla Rv Park every year we have been to the AVR. Nice place with plenty room for my 5th wheel toy hauler.

I have a Road Warrior made by heartland. They are the same as a cyclone with a thinner exterior wall. Also some of the standard goodies found in the cyclones are an option in the Road Warrior.

I have seen the website for Cenla RV park. I did not know how close the rally spot was to any of the campgrounds that i had looked at. Thanks.

When I get one, I'll need thicker walls, etc as I'll be living in it 100%.
