Here's the NEW & IMPROVED Vision Intake Filter
Designed to increase intake efficiency and minimize flow turbulence in the Vision's unique air intake. It is also quieter than our original design. Easy to install and produces 7-8 Hp Gain. It simply replaces the current stock plate installed in your Vision.

Will this increase HP on an otherwise stock bike, or are other upgrades needed?
Funny, I emailed Lloydz about this air filter and was told it is not designed to be quieter than the old design, but it does seem quieter on some bikes.
I think I will save my money. |

Pittsburgh, PA | if it was to decrease noise i wouldnt expect it to be a night and day difference. im sure going from a foam air filter to a cotton gauze filter wouldnt be so sound deafening that it be make a major difference. i believe from the photo that the new filter has a bigger opening compared to the where it had foam wedged between two holes |

San Clemente | I just installed it. I'm not sure I hear any more noise than before, obviously there must be some. I know I lost about a pound at least removing the plate. |

I administer Lloydz site and added the description for the Intake Filter in his store. I misinterpreted what Lloyd said to me about the filter being quieter than his original design. After talking again with Lloyd he clarified:
"I thought it was [quieter] when I tried it on the first bike but I need to do more specific
testing on that before committing to a yes."
It may indeed be quieter, but for the time being I have removed the claim that it is quieter than the original design. Sorry for the jump in assumption and any misconceptions I've spawned, it wasn't Lloyd's fault but strictly mine.

San Clemente | Just to ad. on the ride into work today I noted above 3K what I believe to be some intake sound that wasn't there before. It was not an un plaesant sound to me. Other than that I'm not noting any more sound.
Two things to remember:
1. I'm going from completely stock, that's my reference.
2. I'm comming off a Ducati 1098 open clutch and full Arrows and I really enjoyed the raucus. A sowing machine quiet engine is not really something that appeals to me so What may not be obtrusive to me may be to some one else. |

San Clemente | I have a few more observations. One at idle there's a slight hiss nothing pronounced just there. Today I drove home with out ear plugs. You definitely hear the suction of the intake nothing that bothers me. 2500 and above the only way to describe it is a nice "growl" kicks in, I like it. I also believe the engine pulls a lot cleaner. On occasion I may find myself in 2nd at around 1-1.5K, prior to although the engine would pull out of that there was a little shuddering to begin with. Now it just cleanly pulls out of it. |

The Vic Shop - Central Iowa | Got my new shipment of intake plates in today. Very cool! I think they make less noise, but the noise never bothered me anyway.

Phenix City AL. | I just installed the trush mufflers, the ups guy dropped off my intake, I have a vfc3 on the shelf, but dont know where to start with it, can I install the filter with out installing the vfc? or should I wait and get them installed together ?

Phenix City AL. | I did the intake all ready, I looked at the VFC, whats the story on how to pull the conectors off ? I shure do like the extra HP, cant say anything about the noise, had the radio on. Is it worth fooling with the VFC ? runs like a raped ape. |

didnt you just post the samething else where?
btw you do understand not any one dyno will give you the same results right? you can take your 09 vision and one if on one dyno, then 15 mins later run it on another dyno and you will NOT get the same numbers... so while the cams werent what you expected ON PAPER.. it has been for everyone else.. And if you have the same cams as everyone else what does that tell you? 1) dyno is Wrong... 2) fuel controller not properly configured for your setup 3) air temp, air pressure, hell even the condition and type of rear tire you have effects a dyno! There is soooooooo much more to the complete story and just saying the cams suck. cause like i said earlier if they are the SAME cams that every one else has and they have triple digit hp numbers than it is more than likely your setup or user error on the dyno... just saying.....

| Anyone install LLoydz idle screw without other mods to cure low idle/stalling? Did it help?

Here is a stock Vision VS the same bike after: VM1 cams, PCV, top filter, Adam Bomb pipes and timing gear.
If my math is right that is 34% more HP and 14% more tq.
Of course that is stock VS a COMPLETE cam job. If you rolled in with the top filter, controller, pipes timing gear already the gain would not be as much.
Still a nice gain for just a few hours of bolt-on parts.

| Agreed on the Dyno comments. 30% is realistic with a knowledgable dyno tech and proper configuration. temperature and relative humidity during the dyno is important as well
