With the talk of Supermax sprockets and the rapid wear of the Victory drive gears I am wondering if utilizing aftermarket belts and pulleys would yeald better wear. A slightly more aggressive final drive ratio would probably wake up the acceleration at the same time. Anybody make a speedo calibrator for the Vics?

i thought there was a device called Speed o heeler out there. do a google on it. by picking up acceleration. do you mean changing the gear ratio? you would have to change alot of teeth in the rear sprocket for you to even feel a different. i did this in the past with chained bikes. i got better results from changing the front "sprocket". changing 2 teeth barely makes a difference. if thats what your planning on doing.. To waken the acceleration you would have to go with MORE teeth on the rear of shorter on the front. reverse that for a taller gear ration and less shifting as quickly. like i said i did this with chained bike. our goal back then was to not always look for a 6th gear when we didnt have one..

I have no idea what the numbers are for the VICTORY rear and front pulley's. Just thinking ahead. The poly pulleys seem like a great idea but only if you can adjust the speedo after gearing change. You should have no problem feeling two teeth in the rear, of course front will yield greater results.

did they say the speedo would even need adjusted? i thought they were the same exact teeth on the pulley? if they are less teeth you will get Less gear wrenching acceleration. Not much but less either way.. because you will be adding a HIGHER gear ratio..

One tooth on the drive pulley is like four teeth on the driven pulley. Less to worry about belt length also. One tooth on the drive pulley is like a 6% diffrence. At 50mph, it's actually 53 mph. Not much to worry about unless you run into a cop, with a radar gun, with a bug up his ass.
