Ruskin, Fl | I picked up the Ness covers with flames for the brake and clutch reservoirs. After the last piece of junk chrome I got from Victory for the rear brake cylinder I was very pleased. They are heavier than the original and fit perfect. Oh yea, they look great too. Makes me want to take the housings off and paint them black so the covers really pop. |

Richmond, Virginia | Ok so what this means is you would rather have paid a lot more for your bike from Victory if they had used heavier thicker chrome parts?
Take a look at what you paid for your Ness Chrome and imagine your bike about 6000.00 more to bring every piece of chrome up
to that grade. Glad you're happy, but perhaps a dose of financial realty is in check. Would you have gone to the dealership
and paid more for the bike without bitching about how $$$ it was??? |

Ruskin, Fl | That wasn't my point. Just saying that they are a quality piece. The chrome plated plastic piece from Victory that you have to GLUE in place with silicone is not. That waste of money has been sitting in my tool box since it came loose.
I never mentioned anything about how much anything cost. I would rather pay less and get it the way I did. That way mine is now not the same as anybody else's.

I have the Ness flame brake and clutch reservoir covers and I like them a lot. As for the quality, one thing came up. After being on the bike for a couple of weeks, the hex screws holding the covers down developed a rust film inside the hex. I used some WD-40 to clean off the oxidation and then chrome polished and then waxed, seems to be ok now. I also have the rear brake reservoir chrome cover. I was glad they came out with this cover as it does make that area look a lot better. The cost was right, about the installation I too was concerned with just applying the silicone, but after ~7000 miles, it is still there, and looking good.  |
