I replaced the CB antenna I got from Victory with a K40 and it work pretty good until a parking lot gate arm came down to quick and broke it off so I put the Victory one back on.  I was wondering if anyone has used a different CB antenna on their Vision and what they think works the best.

I used an old FireStick I had laying around the garage, after breaking the stock one.

It works great and really helped with the incoming volume!

I had the same thing happen with the parking garage gate. I went to Radio Shack and bought a replacement for $40 and it seems to work fine.

I put a new Firestik with the tunable tip on mine. Cost was less than $20. My stocker isn't broken, but the SWRs weren't very good and the stock antenna isn't tunable. K40s are good too, as you already know.

You need a fire stick in the FG catagory to do it properly. F for fire stick G for non ground plane and then you pick your color -B for black so you need a FG3-B for a 3 foot non-groundlplane antenna. I asked the rep at the company. I thought this would be usefull information.
