Keltec .32 is a strong pull but it has to do with no safety. It is small so not to have a large profile. It don't matter if you know I carry or not, I suspect that IF I would ever have to use it on anyone it wouldn't be a vision rider.

The ccw should be aware of all laws and it is easy to be sure you are in compliance, break it down and seperate the ammo, making sure you can't get to it easily.

Do not cross any international borders with it PERIOD. Mexico you will be jailed.

Kel-tec .380 always (in my coat pocket) and often a S&W 9mm in a shoulder holster too. Also a spring-loaded SOG Flash II knife.

Got stopped for making a U-turn by local LEO in Tennessee last September while I was on leave from Kuwait. My wife and I were traveling on the Vision, pulling a trailer. When he came up on my right side and asked for my license I told him, "For your safety and mine you need to know that I am armed and have an Alabama license to carry. My wallet is inside my jacket in a pocket next to my pistol. If you don't mind, I will SLOWLY reach in and take out my wallet..." I did and we had a nice conversation about different states' carry application procedures and he let me go on my way with a warning. (Okay, so I didn't mention the one in my jacket pocket or the one in my wife's purse... More info than he needed to know at the time.)

"I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6"

Interesting take...

I have no problem disclosing my choice to exercise the 2nd Amendment. My CC peice is a good ol' dependable .357 mag wheel gun (Ruger SP101). As mentioned, not carrying for fear of someone trying to steal or damage my vehicles. That's up to them if they wanna chance being caught by the law. If they come after ME or someone near to me, that is my "just" cause and boundry. Generally when I've been stopped, the LEO's ask if I am carrying since; evidently, my CCW shows up on DMV record. I'm honest with them and that's usually it. I usually only take it with me on road trips since I live in the country.

I was carrying in Oregon in the early 90's as soon as Oregon became a "shall issue" state. Since then I've secured a permit in every state I've lived. Lately I've begun to take projects on federal property, which poses a problem since you cannot have a weapon on the premises.
Sometimes I'm called in unexpectedly, which poses a problem- where to secure the weapon? I haven't come up with a good solution yet.

Believe it or not a new rule went into effect in January after the inauguration, which came as a complete surprise that it was allowed to pass at all, that allows those that have legal CCW permits to continue to carry in national parks and federal forest lands.  I was surprised because Obama actually held a news conference about letting it come into effect, my bet is though that the anti-gun left is just giving this tidbit to cover for the real proposals they are going to come up with in the next few years.

I'd seen that, and was surprised- I've been shooting on BLM land for decades, and with cops.
But the properties I'm working on lately are substantially more restrictive than forest and parks.
Regardless, I think the battle for personal defense rights will go on forever.

As a retired LEO I am fortunate to be able to carry nationwide (thanks to Chapter 44, 18 USC 926C) and I certainly don't leave home without one. Had a run in several years ago with some 'Bandidos' (one of which I had put in the pen for several years) while out on my bike and was glad it was handy although it didn't come to that.

My Beretta 92 is to large to carry concealed so I downsized and carry a Taurus Millennium PT 111....just right.

My initial carry piece might be my Sig P229 .40, but I am looking at a Kimber 1911 compact too. I just went to the Sheriff's office and did my business. If these are too big, I'll just have to buy more.

My normal carry is a Kimber CDP Pro, a Commander size 1911. I've owned many Kimbers from a Custom to a Gold Combat and found them to be accurate, reliable, and well-made. I've competed with the Gold Combat without any failures.

I carry open or conceal carry every place I legally can and conceal carry every place I legally can't. My main carry is a 9mm Taurus millennium pro w/ a .380 Bersa b.u.g. On a rare occasion a 44 mag. Raging Bull, and I never leave home without um.

38 Airlite, 40Cal S&W.  Always!!!  If I carry open, I carry a 357S&W as well. Plus Two speedloaders and/or two mags for each.  I have a portable pistol safe in the trunk, and another elsewhere on the bike.
