Has anyone really explored LED's? I'm toying with converting to LED's and tried to research 3157's and frankly, it makes my head hurt. There are round ones, flat ones, 7 LED ones, 18, 24, 36, 48, etc. There are just as many variations of angle (not to be confused with the angle of the Vision tail light to begin with). There are cheap ones at less than five bucks a copy, all the way up to forty two bucks a copy. There are USA (made in USA), there are USA (made in china), and there are china (made in china).

I can easily see where a person could spend $50. for a bulb that doesn't have enough light to make it out the lens. Maybe the $5. bulb is brighter but only will last a half decade instead of forever.

Help! Can someone point us smucks to a good, fairly priced unit.

Sorry for the rant. Just miss the days when a bulb was a bulb. And you could just go ask for "a quart of OIL! Ha Ha.

most are putting in the 92's from v-leds. thats what i did about the same out put as stock but you will also need the load resisters for the turn to keep the flash rate normal and for the brake lights to keep crusie working. hope this helps dave....

These are the only ones I'd consider. http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Brake-Light-LED/Red-LED/V-LEDS-R... Went with 2 pr REDs and 1 PR amber for TS. I have them in the euro clear tail lamps from Arizona Victory. I tried 25 LED units and they were too dim. Here is a link to the load equalizers: http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp%3bjsessio...

Thats way too much to pay for "load equalizers". Just buy some 10 ohm wire wound resistors from radio shack and wire them in parallel with all six bulbs in the back. Thats what I did. Works great.
