Doesn't lift the bike very high at all? Appears that you can lift either the front or the rear only about 2-3 inches?

At $148+ it isn't cheap for what you get, and what you can do with it. Spend about double for a decent lift and you can lift the bike up more than high enough to have more than enough room to do anything. Or in other words...double the expenditure and can do 10 times more.

I think if this is what you want, you could make one out of wood a whole lot cheaper.

I think I'll try to make my own after I hone up on my welding skills in my upcoming school. So maybe this summer.
