For my Bday the kids purchased a Garmin 2820 I went out to the bike which had the mount already on the bike when I purchased it. No place to hook up power. Call dealere after brief discussions with parts, service, sales, and owner, they call me next day tell me to come in and pick up power cord for mount, n/c should have been with bike. I gotta go pay for right side turn signal assembly anyway. I now have the plug, I felt around under the panel and feel connecters so I don't screw this up. WHERE does it plug in ? Thanks

Mine was not under the console, it was to the right side of the console, down along side the right fuel tank there is a wiring harness in that area. If I remember right there was either a blue or green cap on the plug on the end of the wire. pull the cap off and plug in, plug in the back of the GPS and your done.

Just did mine last week on my 09, it was a black capped connector on the right side between the tank and consol.

No worries, you won't screw it up. The only other connector that could possibly fit it is the radio/iPod adaptor on the LEFT side. It's on the right side just like they said. You may have top pull the rubber dust plug out of the end of the connector when you locate it. Look at the GPS cable and you'll see that the plug is fairly small and easily hidden. Just feel around under there and follow the cable bundle until you find it. I had to search hard for mine too because it was tucked under the bundle out of site. You CAN'T hurt anything even if you get rough with it. Again, it's on the right side between the radio and the fairing. Feel around for the plug.
