| If you have it done yourself you will run into some of the same problems Victory has run into. Low cost chroming but lower quality? Show quality chroming at top dollar? This time of year all chromers are buried in work. You may wait months for your parts.
If I was thinking of doing it would spend the summer talking with other bikers that had chroming done and see what the cost and quality is for different places. Then I would hold off till right after riding season to start sending parts out.
I had Advanced Plating in Nashville chrome my '03 intake I modified. It's plastic and came out really nice but the chroming cost $125 for that one little piece. They chromed the bumpers on my '60 Ranchero and they are beautiful and cost $425 a piece.
The Vic shop in Salt lake City used to do chrome swapping. I don't know if they still do or if you can find another good quality chromer to do it? |

Tacoma, WA | You may as well have it done yourself. It would cost less, and be a better product. And even with their backload of work, you would most likely get it sooner!!! I have had parts on order since November. Also, many that did show up were damaged in transit because Victory cannot seem to figure out how to pack them!----Metalguy |
