Subject: Gap between front saddle bag and seat... fix

Central Wisconsin

Hi All,

Both front top ends of my saddle bags had this large gap next to the seat.

I checked the fasteners that the hinges bolt to and they were all tight.

I still took some of the fasteners out and bend the tabs out as per victoryvisiontour's post .

I took the bottom of the front bracket off the hinge and installed two 5/16" nuts as spacers.

This allows the bottom part of the bracket to be further back into the molded cavity.

Also, I bent the saddle bag latch hooks, like victoryvision did on his Fix your trunk rattle for good post . Thanks JC!

Much better

I find that when I sit in the seat, that spreads it out to fill the gap. ET

Now that's a quick fix! LOL!

I had loose fitting saddle bag doors.

Between the spacers and bending the latch hooks, they now fit GREAT!
