I guess I am fortunate with my 2008 radio. Although I don't use the radio too often as I prefer my ipod for music I get ok reception for living up in the NH mountains. I have also used the WB many times up here and upstate NY and has worked fine. I am not boasting by any means , I am just not sure why its the case. Is it possible to have a 2009 radio in a 2008 vision? I did buy in aug of 2008.

You probably have the 08. Mine is an 08 and I've never had any problems with reception. Although, just recently I'm noticing a BIG difference between FM and the ipod. I can get way more volume with the ipod and no distortion at level 15. The radio is distorting above level 12. I know a few of the guys here have had their 2008 radios replaced recently and I'm wondering if this is the start of the radio completely giving out.

Songfan or Pollolittle, is this how your radios started to crap out?

Thanks

One day I turned the key and the display went into hieroglyphics.  It sounded ok but I couldn't tell what mode I was in, the channel # or volume level.  I could change all those things, just couldn't see what was going on.  Started out random, then did it every time.
