Out for a Christmas ride today and the radio was doing some strange stuff... The sound would spike and then return to normal. It would also switch from FM to AM, or the Weather band. I turned off the radio and it would be fine for awhile, but would repeat again after a few miles.
I have had this bike for one month, on the ride home last month from the dealership, the radio locked-up and would not turn on or off. Only after the bike was keyed off then back on again did this problem clear-up.
I have fear to use the radio until the dealership looks at it. Don't want to blow a speaker due to the sound spikes.
What say you?
PS... Is the factory always so S L O W to respond to dealer/customer issues? I have been waiting for a month for the factory to relate a fix for my non-working CB/Intercom and for a fit problem on my saddlebag.

Sadly, yes, it does seem it takes a while for issues to be resolved. SOME dealers will work with you and resolve it fast then wait on Polaris themselves. If you are not dealing with them yet, go to the Gainesville Victory joint and they should take care of you or give you the real scoop.

As for your radio, double check the main plug in to the radio under the console. I had issues with mine similar to what you are saying and one day I had the console off and it seem to snap back together better than the other times, and never had an issue after that moment. I think I was getting a false click making me think it was in all the way, but finally hit it just right and it was properly seated. Its worth a looksee, or a mention to the dealer to make sure all the plugs are properly seated, it's little things that can drive you crazy.

Another note on the radio. on the handle bar control, moisture can get in there and cause some real erractic behavior until it dries out. Some would say that this is a defect and needs to be replaced, a very prevalent issue with the classic Visions ('08's).

Hope you get everything fixed to your satisfaction soon. Happy New Year!
