I was 60 miles from home today on a ride with some friends when we stopped to fuel up. When trying to start the bike everything went dead. I was lucky that there was a motorcycle shop next door and the mechanic found the problem, loose cable connections on the battery. I guess it was fate that I choose a gas station next to a bike shop. Funny thing though when evrything went dead what do you think the first thing I did. Started to look for the kick start. I haven't owned a bike with a kick start in 20 years and it was a natural instinct. HA HA! I guess that the connections were over looked during make ready. Have only had the bike a month.

Check your trunk light switch also, if it doesnt have a little rubber boot on the plunger, dont leave the light on auto overnight.
