Took vision in on the 17th of october tech rode it and said he needed to keep the bike to check the front pulley. So on the 22nd of october I ride the 67 miles to the dealer 37 degrees and raining. Called on october the 30th and was told they had not looked at it yet. What the hell kind of service is that. He told me they were 7 to 10 days behind. Why would you tell me when to bring it in if you new you were not going to look at it? This kind of service is what gives victory dealers a bad name.

Sounds more like my Subaru service department. Any additional explanation, like one of their wrenches has been sick, would have been better than they're just running behind.

This is why I avoid the dealers or any motorcycle wrench unless I'm prepared to give up my bike for any length of time. It's just expected, so it seems, that you will not get your bike back that fast. If you do, good for you.

Concur. Make ALL attempts to fix it yourself. Things go bad when taking your bike to a dealer. Like collateral damage and such.

why would they even look at the front pulley un less your getting a high pitch sound.
All noise come from bad alingment. Don't trust them see pulley before buying one. Have not heard of bad one on newer bikes

Let's not talk about collateral damage...

I have always disagreed with this crappy 'policy', but is all about money. They want your bike there so they can work on it as a spare moment presents itself. So their mechanics are never idle.

One of the things that attracted me to the Vision; was no requirement to ever adjust the valves. Then I cone to find out that Victory wants you to flush and refill the oil in the forks every 15K. WTF?

I ain't doing it; until there's a need for it. That is just frikken ridiculous....

67K+ and never done a fork service. Common sense be my guide and I can skip a lot of that stuff. Indians won't need a belt at 8 or 80K I'm betting. never put a belt on the Vision either.

I did the fork oil at 25K and it was a waste of time. The oil looked like it had just come out of the can.

That's a simple alignment issue unless I'm missing something.  A buddy of mine had that problem on a new XC.  Rubbing from misalignment is what's causing the noise and flaking the paint.  The paint ain't making noise and it's not making the belt or pully make noise.

Covered by warranty so be it, but I think the dealer is ripping off Victory or the insurance company that pays warranty claims.

Clean the belt and sprockets -

Drive Belt Cleaning
Cleaning the drive belt will maximize belt and sprocket life and minimize drive line noise.
Clean the belt at every tire change. Clean the belt more often if riding in dirty, dusty or high
debris environments.
1. Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with a cup of warm water.
2. Use a soft nylon brush to clean the belt and sprocket teeth with the soapy water. Clean
well in corner areas where road debris and belt dust can collect.
3. Rinse the belt with clear water, then dry thoroughly.
Tip: Do not inspect or adjust drive belt tension when the belt is wet. Improper adjustment will result.

Update: finally got the bike back today. New rear dreve pulley installed was supposed be be covered by warranty. Extended denied claim. Dealer stepped up and ate the cost. Now they say I should replace the front pulley and the belt. I do not think anything is wrong with the front pulley or the belt. Any comments? They told me they checked the front pulley but I have my doubts that they did check it as I had driven it 70 miles to them in the pouring rain but when I picked it up today the dirt on the pipes had nopt been disturbed.
