When I put my money down back in April the Vision was sold with "chrome forks" as stock. Victory had trouble with the supplier and of course we don't have them. When I picked the Vision up I was told we would get a $250 dealer credit. That was to come from Victory. I talked to my dealer this week and he said some people were being contacted by Victory and obtaining the credit voucher of some type. I haven't heard from them.

Has anyone here got there's or heard from them?

I bought my Vision from a diffrent dealer than I ordered it from. New dealer adjusted the price accordingly. I also recieved a $250 credit for the forks issued by new dealer. Im not sure if this is Victorys idea or the dealers but I will use the credit for stage I level II upgrade.
I am going out on a limb here and giving credit to V-twin 101, an excetional dealer.

V-Twins 101 gave me a gift card for $250 for use in the shop. Spent it on the Gatlin exhaust tips =).

I got my Vis on 11-17-07. After waiting 6 weeks for something to happen from Victory corporate, my dealer just wrote me a check for $250. I hope they get their $ back from Victory.

I bought my Vision in early December from R&J Performance. They just subtracted $250 from the bill. Not sure how they were going to get the money from Victory. My guess is they just pay Victory $250 less for the bike.

Arlen Ness in Dublin just gave a $250.00 gift card. I did have to mention the letter from Victory and ask for it but they took care of it as soon as I mentioned it.

The problem I see with the $250.00 credit is that to get the forks chromed plus the labor to remove and install will be almost three times that amount

Thats why most ordered the premium package . because it was a discounted price for all of that chrome and extras! if you price it out individually it would cost alot more like everything else you buy in a "package deal'

With the stock rim and the brushed trim around the fairing the painted lower forks look pretty good. I can see a problem if you add chrome wheels and a chrome trim. The forks would look out of place. Like I said before, people have been chroming lower forks for ages with no problem. How did Victory find someone so incompetent.

Well I was told by my dealer today that unless I can produce the letter that Victory sent me telling me that they were going to provide me with a $250.00 credit through my dealer, I'm SOL on the fork credit. After spending a couple of hours combing my file cabinet, I found it...we'll see what happens.

Jim,

Yes it was sent to me from Victory, it's not signed and it doesn't have a phone number on it. It talks about them "feverishly" working to prioritize my Vision reserve order with their production schedule and about the initial delays in shipping the reserved (pre-ordered) Visions and that they are building mine. It then goes on to say that during final testing they discovered that the chrome on the forks had a quality issue and that teh forks on the 2008 models wouldn't have chrome and that the dealer would provide me a $250.00 credit. The letter is very generic in appearance.

Wish there was more I could provide...

Ride Safe and we'll see you again soon I hope.

Ken
