I see Victory has Bluetooth equipment in their 2008 accessory catalog including Bluetooth Helmets. My question is does their Bluetooth equipment work with Vision CB/Communication package and if it does what are the components you would have to purchase to make it all work. Second question would be would the radio than work with the Bluetooth helmet? Third question is will the Victory GPS work with the Bluetooth helmet?

My wife and I purchased the Nolan N102 helmets (blue tooth) that will integrate all of the audio functions you want to hook up, stock radio, xm radio, cell phones, GPS, CB/Icom and Ipod. The key component is the audio harness that runs everything. It has been delayed for distribution until Dec. 1. If it all comes together it should be a pretty slick setup. I have had several systems with wires going everywhere, hopefully this will solve that problem.

So, if I understand you correctly, I should be able to hook up a mp3 player with no issues? I have the Tour on order, and looking at what to buy for mp3. I like my own late 60's-early 80's rock mix, and not a real radio listener. Thanks in advance for the help. Wow, I posted without a bunch of off the wall silliness. I knew it could be done....

Buckeye old Boy - Are you on solid ground without your cooooffffeeee-smoke em if you gaught em - stock in the left panel is the MP3 hookup- you can then change the output thru the speakers to your rock mix stuff- none of this is blue tooth- whole different deal- don't be so serious next time

Hello everyone, new to this forum. Ordered a Vision Tour that is supposed to ship out the 4th of December from Minnesota. I should be able to pick it up sometime next week. I opted to purchase a Garmin Streetpilot 2820 (bluetooth) GPS instead of the discontinued 2720 that Victory offers (which is not bluetooth capable). I already have the 2820 and it works like a champ. The only problem is the bluetooth headsets I have for the helmets. I have the Cardo Scala Team Rider set and it works fantastic for rider to pillion and cell phone communication, but it will not work with the GPS audio (music, navigation prompts, etc). As soon as the headset connects all audio ceases out of the audio jack on the GPS. I can't find any settings to tell the unit to only use the external audio connector for connections other then cell phone. Looks like I may have to fork out another $400 for a dual channel bluetooth headset. Anyone have any recomendations for a bluetooth headset that is configurable with bluetooth headset compatible GPS devices?

In my research this is the best solution available today. Here is a link to a review of the system. http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/13/benchmark-helmets-intros-bluetoo...

Benchmark Helmets BT is 2.0 (increased bandwidth over 1.1) and it supports A2DP, both definete pluses. Out of all of them that I have looked at over the last couple days this one does seem to be the most rounded and has the best features. BlueAnt also has one but it is only BT 1.1. Now I have to convince my wife that we really do need to replace our current headsets :-)

Has anyone looked at the Victory BlueTooth headset that works with the Victory helmet that are N-Com compatible? They are on page 115 and 117 of their 2008 accessory catalog. Does anyone know if they can be made to work with CB/Intercom option for the Vision?

I'm going to guess at this, but I would say they don't. No where does it say o have I found in discussions with Victory dealers, the CB/Intercom is Bluetooth. Also, it is my understanding that the Victory GPS is not Bluetooth either. I'm getting a pair of Victory N42 helmets, I think I will be going with the Bluetooth on the Nolan website if I get one, believe they are a little less expensive. Still thinking about going with the Garmin 500 GPS which is Bluetooth compatible

Nolan has an bluetooth interface for the Honda Goldwing radio/intercom/CB and hopefully will be developing one for the Harley which I think would also be compatible with the Vision. I sent them an email requesting info on what it would take to use their helmet with the Vision audio system. No reponse as of yet.
Here's link to the cheapest place I"ve found for the N-Com helmets

I have tried almost all the Bluetooth units out there and I must say that the CAMOS units for www.benchmarkhelmets.com are the best out there at this point. Please note the the Nolan helmets will NOT give you stereo bluetooth like the CAMOS unit.

I am confused. I have a Zumo 550 w/ Blue tooth. I am getting the CB put on the Vision. I have the Zumo mounted on the bike with the Zumo bike mount. The Vision audio plug is plugged into the Zumo mount.

When I get the CB will I be able to talk through the helmet mic to answer Bluetooth phone calls???

Is there something else needed?

Hey guys... I'm new to the forum - but got my Vision end of December. Just got the GPS installed (unfortunately I think, I got the Victory unit, not the Bluetooth model). One thing I find wanting on this: when you don't want to have the GPS keeping you company (since you just KNOW you won't get lost) - what you have left is this but ugly bracket and a loose cable! Anyone come up with any solutions? I'm thinking Vic should have thought about this and offered some sort of empty box that could also house the connecting wire to keep it dry in wet weather.

Anyone have any ideas?

I went with my old sony mp3 player. I currently have a mix, and ZZ TOPs greatest hits playing thru it. I don't know what else a brother needs? By the way everyone....if you wanna rock, and need a band that will make your ride better? You can't go wrong with ZZ Tops gratest hits album on about 15 volume control....this album was made for riding!
