I have noticed a little problem with my Vision - and that is the brake pedal. It seems a little short and I always feel that I might miss it in a panic stop - haven't but still feel that way. Has anyone changed out their brake pedal to something larger? I am looking at a couple of Kuryakyn pedals (8029 or 8044) that fit HD, has anyone used these? Or ia there a longer peg for this?
Thanks all...........

argh, I feel your pain as that should be a PEDAL not a PEG. So, I've searched for a replacement and relented to the fact I'll eventually get something fabricated to fit and can use an after market slip on pad. I think the threading is different and/or not the same config. Let us know if it works.

I put the Kuryakyn 8856 on the brake side and the shorter version on the shift side. It seems to help a little, but I agree that a replacement pedal would be the way to go. I always felt like I had to be a little pigeon toed to hit the brake with ease....I'm sure being a touch bow legged doesn't help )

I had a problem hitting the brake pedal because the lever was sloppy on the pivot. The lever would swing approximately 5 degrees side to side. I could watch it moving around while riding down the road. Since the peg was never in the same position I would sometimes miss it.

The problem was the nut bottoms out on the shoulder of the pivot bolt before it snugs the clevis on the brake lever. I pulled out the bolt, put a washer on it, and reinstalled. I tightened the nut so there is no side to side play in the lever.

Now the brake peg always rests in the exact same spot. It only took a couple of rides to get used to where it is. Since it is in same position every time, it's like the brake pedal in my truck...I never have to think about it.

The shifter has the same issue so that is next on my list.

I went with the chrome Arlen Ness pegs. They are longer and look so much better than the stock pegs.

VVTour - Thanks for the info. Think I'll try that versus buying another aftermarket pedal.
