Okay, I know it's a free market society, and that there might be some one dumb enough to do it, but right now he can have one for list from Monster Motors in Ft. Wayne.

Anyone who would put in that kind of bid isn't the brightest bulb in the lamp IMHO.

I just got back from my dealer Locomotion Powersports in Suffern NY. He has a Ness on the floor I was looking at it it is very pretty I suggested the break leaver find it's way on to my bike. What I did notice is the wind screen is short the Grips and seat are not heated. I was surprised the shifter is not Heel Toe

I am sure some would pay the additional money for the Ness Vision, but I wouldn't. Personally, I'd rather take the $5100 and use it the way I want, not what someone else wants. Don't get wrong, I like the Ness bikes, but it really isn't my taste.

WOW! I think the seller on Ebay is totally!!!! out of line in posting the Vision as a "right to buy". I am going to bet dollars to donuts the 3 bids were thinking they bid on the outright purchase. Maybe I have missed something in 10 years bidding and buying cars, motorcycles, and other stuff, but I have not seen an Ebay auction " to buy the rights to buy something.

Is this even legal?

" Anyone else? or just me think this is misleading to start with?

I wouldn't even buy a Ness Vision for MSRP, let alone 5K over. The fact that there are some folks willing to do it just goes to show you that even in this crappy economy there are people with more money than brains. Heck, I'd be willing to bet you the 5K that right about now you could find more than one dealer that has one you could get for below MSRP.

Ya know, There is an ebay history of sellars bidding on their own product to inflate a price and gain curiousity............

I looked at the Ness at my dealer, thought i would get tired of the blue paint eventhough blue is my color,,, just looked like a pattern that i might get tired of. Add to that no heated seat, no heated grips, useless windshield, didnt even come with the reverse.
You cannot add the rear trunk without removing the Ness painted rear cover that you just paid dearly for.. The only thing I really
liked was the diamond cut heads. ME LOVES DAT !! Instead, I took the same money, fully loaded my black Starship, chromed it to the max, and cant get out of the driveway without people running into mailboxes turning their heads... Regarding the black out, this is my own personal opinion which for anyone else may mean nothing, but blacking out the bike destroys the design and flow of that very style which makes the bike look so unusual. Once everything is black all you have is a big black blob going down the street. The
last big black blob that I barely noticed was a HD with that ugly ass front "fairing" thingie that looks like it was designed in a jr high school shop class out of coffee cans and plastic packing. ohhh that kinda sounded mean spirited.......... OH WELL.

Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay!

I wouldn't even pay MSRP for that bike, and I love Ness designs! They seat looks cool, but doesn't seem like it would be comfortable for the long run. The grips look cool, but boy, they would be hot in the summer and cold in the winter (and no option to warm them!, with out going aftermarket...) Even colorful little me would get sick of that paint job (and I'd have to spend way too much brain power on coming up with riding outfits that would match it...) I have no complaints with the windshield,as long as it's still electric (I hadn't noticed if it was or not when I saw the one at my dealer...). Amazing how you can take the most comfortable, long haul bike and make it a bar hopper... (with plenty of room to stow your fender fluff's make up and a sweater...)

(That listing has been removed, by the way....

(Now for the Ness Vision that they were showing around last year, I might pay a little more, maybe.....)Arlen Ness Vision

Definitely not! I looked at one at a dealer near me. First of all, the seat is too hard, I think it is a Corbin seat, I'm not a fan of those seats. Also, not having the heated seats/grips here in the
north,wouldn't do it either.

A couple of years ago there may have been enough demand to cut a fat deal like this. Not today. The only company I know of makin money is Wal-Mart. Not a lot of Ness Vision riders working at the local Wally World. It's a buyer's world right now. Why is it every time it get's to be this way I ain't got any money? Polaris stock is the lowest it has been in the last 5 years and they are faring better than most.

5100 bucks could buy a ton of cool things for my vision. And a really nice trip to boot.

It appears the listing was pulled. Also guys, there are a lot of uninformed consumers out there. Certainly not defending, but a lot of folks don't have good Vic dealers in their area. We have all seen this on this board. They don't know how to look for places like Vision-Riders.com and ask questions if they wanted one. Also, have we also forgotten about the days of the PT Cruiser? Remember when those things were selling for as high as $50,000 when they first came out? Who in their right mind would pay that for a PT?

There are several members here who own a Ness Vision. It's a nice look IMO. When I sat on one at the AVR, I loved the seat & grips. Yeh, I know they're not heated. The diamond cut fins did look awesome, and the graphics were really beautiful. The wheels really set the bike apart too. I'm sure that's the biggest expense in the price jump.

We all have our own opinion on what looks nice, that's what makes customizing great. And we all have a price point for it as well. What some may think is high, other may think it's a bargain because it's just what they were looking for.

In the end, I'll ride with any of you.

I'll take the diamond cuts. I met a guy on the road once who said that they are easy to do yourself right on the bike. He told me how and but I forgot, but he did say it was a dremel. The hard part is lining up and keeping it straight so it comes our right. I saw his and if so be it, I'd like for him to do mine, but he's long gone. As far as the Ness goes, I think it is a great looking bike, and remember, it is just like other "brands", you pay for it. As whether it is your taste or not, don't bust on another's bike, all has their own beauty. As for the Vision, the best it is the Midnight Cherry Premium Tour Cruiser out there, bar none, hands down. The rest, it leaves sitting in the dust, that includes especially those slow, real slow, slow, slow, very slow, did I say slow, Black Visions.
