Central New York | Was a nice sunny day in the mid 40's so I took a little ride down through the Southern Ter this morning. About 200mi or so. Wind was a constant 25-30 MPH with gusts in excess of 50 mph. Vision rode great at about a constant 60-65 mph. Have seen some real negative comments in the past about the Vision in wind. Totally unfounded, in my opinion. Slow speeds (5-20) can be testing, but once you get over 25 mph the Vision gets really stable. The gusts still rock the boat, but just let her have her head and she pretty much takes care of herself. A lot of rocking, by the path stays true, as long as you don't try and fight with her. I have been out in strong winds a number of times, but this was my first experience with a huge amount of gusting activity, I was really pleasantly surprised. I had a harder time walking down the driveway to get the mail after I got back home.  |

New Bohemia, VA | Gary - I can go with your assessment, however, I believe there are folks that just don't get it or take longer figuring out. I understand their negative comments, and to them, they are founded. I'm just glad that I get it... |

Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Since first discovering that ANY windshield beats bugs in the teeth, I also discovered that pushing a barn door thru the wind at 70 mph is VERY tiring. Especially if there were gusting side-winds, which we get a lot of riding in the mountains. Back when I was young and fit, there were MANY days I staggered into the house after a ride - absolutely beaten up; exhausted.
I did own a couple of frame-mount ferrings, and they were better than any fork-mount.
The Vision beats all the bikes I have ridden or owned when it comes to wind - front, side, rear, gusts, whatever! Worse case I have experienced was a side wind in excess of 50 mph (it created a dust storm I saw from 20 miles away) - a wind that gusted and pushed me for 50 miles. All I had to do was counter with a slight push on the bar (effectively a constant 'left' turn for 50 miles) - this was in Wyoming or Utah last summer. I remember thinking how horrible it would have been if I was on one of my older bikes.
Vision is comfy - it is 35f outside and sunny - I'm going for a ride .... |

| I think the vision moves around so much cause of the E3 tires. They are so smooth and to me thats why. If there were groves in the tries I think we wouldn't move so much. Yes I know the E3's are that way so the vision can go down the road easier. I put a CT on the back and now I have very little movement. Not cause its wider but cause of all the groves in the tire that grip the pavement.

Chino Valley, AZ | I grew up in Cheyenne and you either learned how to ride in the wind or you didn't ride much. We also rode nearly year round. In the Sixties we hardly knew what a fairing was. AS I have aged I have come to really like having some kind of wind protection and since I finally got my Vision I find that the wind is not a factor, the ride is great, even with a fifty mile an hour quartering wind. |

Never said they were uncontrolable, but you pretty much sum up my feelings about the cross section of the Vision.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA | Low and heavy, my Ness Vision barely gets pushed at all. I've ridden with HD riders worried about getting back on their bikes mid-ride and ViNessA wasn't even blinking. |

| She is pretty damn aerodynamic from the front. However from the side is a different story. I do notice big side wind gusts. That's a LOT of surface area on each side to nudge. So wind will be factor. I would still have her any day over an HD Street Glide with that huge fork mounted fairing.
