FYI

My battery trickle charge wires came out of my lower fairing and were draggin' the deck. I didn't know that my bike came with that setup. It's cool to know, but now I have to secure it so that it doesn't happen again.

FYI

You say there are existing wires for a trickle charge on the bike

Mine has them, Vision Tour Premium mfg date 12/21/07. My neighbor at work who is a Harley and Victory certified mech saw them dangling, and found out what they were. He didn't "charge" me for his discovery, but he's leaving the securing of them to me!

Yes, I saw my dangling and didn't know what it was. I took and put a rubber band around it and tucked it between the battery and the fairing. Seems okay.

All Vics come with the Tender plug. It has a 3amp in line fuse. If you use the plug to power an air compressor or anything else. You will need to upgrade to a 10amp fuse or higher.

Our Vision came with the wires, however, they were not installed by the dealer, but, placed in the trunk. I think that is a good plan by the dealer because then the buyer knows about them and they are a cinch to install.

I discovered mine while cleaning! I am glad, because I left my trunk ajar, and the light killed my battery. All I had to do was plug in my 'tender, and let it do its thing! WAY cool to discover I don't have to buy another harness...

Mine were installed on my bike before I even showed up to pick it up, but I knew they were there because my 04 Kingpin had them also. Pretty slick feature!!

Dealer had mine hooked up also. Stuffed the end in front of the battery. I routed it over toward the right side and secured it inside the lower fairing. Easy access when I want to put it on the Tender!

I need the tip that would adapt to it. I have a charger just not one with that tip on it. Anybody know where I can get just the adapter tip?

I believe you can buy one out right from radio shack or a hardware store. Also online at the Powerlet website http://www.powerletproducts.com/. This cable has many applications.

About 2 years ago, I was looking a the full dressers at an HD dealership. I saw a cord hanging out the side. A salesman came up and asked if I had any questions. I asked if the bike was prewired for an electric jacket & gloves. He said no, that was for a battery tender. I plan on riding my 3 bikes enough not to need a tender, but at least I know it is there. I saw it cleaning one day. I tucked it in a little better.
