Didn't know there was a new radio control module. Is this a recall item, or an updated (redesigned?) module?

Mine and several other radio/consoles have gone out (bars only, won't turn off, no reception, etc) Victory knows about this and the fix has been a new radio. Your dealer and Victory should be knowledgeable about this fix with no problem. I know my dealer has changed out several. I have never seen any official recall, but it has been a problem with many Visions. Do it as soon as you can, it will take down your battery,ie: mine.

I am talking about the bar mounted controls. Sometimes when you change the volume it also bleeds over and changes the station at the same time.

I actually have a new radio on order from my dealer for some problems I have been having, but I have not heard anything about the controls.

I had mine replaced a couple weks ago. Victory is aware of the problem. I had the dealer order the part in advance, then my bike was only tied up for about one hour. Works great now.

I've got 2700 miles on mine since I picked it up in September...is the radio failure a high probability thing...am I on borrowed time with my radio...or am I OK if it has not yet happened?

Mine is at the dealer but I'm waiting for another part that is backorder so it all gets done at once.
Oh for the guys tha had theirs done a "long" time ago..... You didn't get the NEW one then, you got one of the old models. The new models only released to dealers in October.

I was having the same problem and after a trip to the dealer for other stuff (the EFI Recall) this got fixed. Since this control is based on a resistance measurement I wonder if they unplugged and plugged in the control cable during their work. If so, it could have cleaned the contacts in the wire harness.

All I know is that the control was not replaced and the radio was not flashed and the control works perfectly now.
