LaPorte,Tx. | Anybody know the fork oil viscosity on the Vision? As far as I can tell, it is not listed in the service manual. Also, I don't believe the Victory fork oil show the viscosity on the container. Thanks. |

Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | Stock Vic fork oil is 7.5 W -I've been using synthetic fork oil of different weights and blends experimenting for years to find what works best for me using RedLine & ShockThearpy (Amsoil) and have felt improvements going a bit heavier. My C & TC did well at 12.5W-any higher and the damping was a bit to stiff for comfortable cruising. Haven't done the Vision fork fluid change yet but I have a couple of bottles of medium Shock Thearpy 10W that I'll most likely use.

| I would like to change my own fork oil but don't understand how to put the oil in.
Do you just pour in the 10 oz of fluid or does it have to go into the canister |

Pittsburgh, PA | i saw where the type 1 fork require 330cc of fluid in each fork and the type 2 require 550cc . im also a little confused on the changing the fluid.. ive done it before on kawasaki's but i dont remember it being this complex (at least how the manual appears to make it) |

Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | Filling the forks with the specified amount is the first step-with the springs removed and all air burped out & the fork fully compressed the fluid level is then drawn down to the correct distance with fork fluid level tool (syringe and tubing that has a stop set to the correct depth). Due to casting imperfections/etc. you could put the exact same amount of fluid in the two tubes and they could have different levels-this second step insures the forks damping is in tandem.
