Pittsburgh, PA | I've bought a few pairs of gloves in my days and they always end up in the trash. My latest pair wore through the palm of the right hand and the index finger of the left hand duringmy ride home from work today. I perfer non-leather riding gloves and this time I want to find a good pair that will last. What works for you and do you remember the cost. I'm thinking about aerostich textile but just wanted to know if anyone found a really good durable set? Appreciate your comments. |

that I pull over my regular gloves if it's raining or cold and find them to be worth twice the price of the ticket. They are awesome. I've had them for probably 5 years and am really happy with them.

| Well, you said "the best", and that would be Held. I've been wearing a pair of their sport tour (Steve) gloves for 5 years and they will be good for another 5 at least. Very pricey, but worth it. They were 160 bucks a pair way back then.
Not sure how to reconcile "best" and "non-leather"!? |

New Bohemia, VA | I'm a First kinda guy, cheap and easy. I find that their products are good, but you have to buy them at a retailer as they don't sell to the general public. My local leather shop carrys the line so I can keep check or ask them to order something in particular they don't have on the shelf. I have the gaunlet glove and find them excellent for cold, dry weather, but suck really bad in the rain. They came with the "rain covers" and I tried them on a good rainy cold day and found myself out and away from anything with miserably wet and cold hands. Thankfully the heated grips keep my sanity some. You reminded to get them out of my bag for winter and apply some scotchgard to them in hope that will do the job.
They are leather and I think they'll do the job for a few more seasons, at $30.00 for the pair I'm not complaining. For the summer and into the 40 degree weather, I use my fingerless and I can pick those up for $5.00 anytime. |

Central New York | I'm way to cheap for those prices. I use these- http://cgi.ebay.com/Mens-Black-Leather-Gloves-New-Size-Large-/35039... i buy 3 or 4 pairs at a pop. Fit tight enough that I can use all the small buttons. Cheap enough that I keep a pair or two in my bags for spares if they get wet. Soft and comfy on my digits. Have never wore out a pair.

Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | The best cool/cold gloves I ever wore I bought back when I was less than half my age now. A Honda dealer in Yougstown, Ohio, in view of the once massive Yougstown Steet and Tube steel mill, sold Winter Welders Gloves. They were black leather with soft leather in palms and fingers and stiff leather gauntlet and the lining was wool felt. I wore them except in hot summer. A few years ago I found a Canada company that had similar gloves listed but with synthetic fleece but were out of stock for the season and they did not list them the next season. |

I prefer to choose a glove that works for me and than just use scotch guard to add the water proofing. You won't find a better fitting more comfortable glove than those offered by Lee Parks and Fox Creek leather. |
